Sorry I've been inactive for so long, just saw this post. Thank you all for the lovely comments, it was very sweet of all of you.
I've recently been made redundant from the job I've been in for the last 14 years, and had Benny pass away earlier this year so I've had a bit of a hard time of it lately. I'm trying to organise my future, prioritising my reptiles first through upgrading all their enclosures and equipment. I'm likely going to put my self forward for medical trials to help cover the costs of what I've got planned lol. Almost upgraded Amy the geckos new home so will only be Spike the snakes home to redecorate. I've got new thermostats and timers so all equipment is automated (all heat mats and lights and UV lights for all of them).
I'm making this year all about building up skills so I'm looking to go to a 2 day advanced herpetological husbandry conference in March (I'm a bit nervous about it as I have social anxiety, but hey ho), then I've got plans to go to Peru for a month, as I've been accepted for an internship with FaunaForever, helping with reptile conservation and also helping out with their photography team. August I'm then off to South Africa for 6 weeks with the Nkombi Volunteer Programme to help with wildlife conservation there, although It'll be mostly large mammals as they don't have any reptile projects there, I'll still be learning some important conservation techniques though.
I'm hoping to move on to some sort of reptile related job after that but will have to see what (if any) opportunities pass my way.
I hope you all have been keeping well, at least better than myself anyway!
