At long last these vile devices are being banned in England, following the examples set by Wales and Scotland. It's taken them far too long to get round to doing this BUT the question must be asked - will it be illegal to SELL the devices, or just to use them? If only the use of the things is banned, then there are plenty of morons out there who would take the chance of using a shock collar - the chances of getting caught will, no doubt, be minimal. And if you fancy buying a shock collar there are plenty for sale on Amazon!!!

I believe it's only going to be illegal to use them. So people will still buy them no doubt. A few trainers I know have mentioned this on facebook, that the legislation really needs to be expanded to include the sales of the collars (as well as containment fences). I guess only time will tell whether this will happen. At least it is a step in the right direction!
There are going to be a fair few trainers who depend on these devices stuck in the near future I imagine! What will they do when they can't just shock a dog into submission???
