Riley doesn't look too happy to be separated from Elsa. I can see how much Elsa has grown compared to the size of Riley. Do they shed a lot of fur during this weather? It’s not too bad at the moment lotsofcats shedding season is September time so not looking forward to that I struggled enough last September trying to keep on top of Riley’s coat ☹️ Having said that he does have a lot of dead hair at the moment so I have booked him in at the groomers next weekend to give me a helping hand 😊

Needing some advice with travelling in the car. Riley has always been a bit of a nightmare in the car , he still drools excessively and is back legs shake but in general he does enjoy going in the car now. The only way he will travel is if we put his bed on the back seat and he settles down every so often he spins around to look through the window 😊and before anyone asks he is not harnessed in because he still spins around and get tangled up in the harness.
Elsa has always sat on my knee but she is getting a bit too big , we transported her in a crate to the vets with the back seats down, Riley hates the crate plus it is not big enough for them both☹️Elsa is no trouble in the car 😊 I did think about sitting in the back with them but I get terrible travel sickness in the back .
The only other thing I thought about was to get Elsa a harness for the back seat for her I think she would settle but Riley will still stand and spin around on his cushion.
We need to get something sorted as we go on our hols in September so I would appreciate any ideas so I can get them used it before our hols 😊 how do your dog travel if u have more than 1😊 Thanks for any advice you may have x

Good luck with that chantel. I can't help you with this one as Kobi is a raving loony in the car and barks continually, jumps all over me, tries to get in the front, salivates and shakes. He was so bad that we changed his vet to one nearer so that we are able to walk there. We kept the same vet for the cats.

He used to make himself sick due to the anxiety ☹️We have got past that now and as much as he gets excited when he knows he is going in the car his back legs still shake like crazy and drools excessively. Have you tried the Adaptil spray for kobi it helped Riley a lot. I’m just glad Elsa is good in the car I couldn’t cope with 2 being a nightmare ☹️

I don't know if it would be large enough for two rough collies but our dogs have always traveled in a "Pet Tube" which is basically a soft crate made of very strong material. It fits along the whole of the back seat of our cars and is fixed in place by webbing straps. There is plenty of room for them to stand up and turn round but keeps them safe. A big plus point as well is that it can be taken out of the car easily, folds up like a concertina and takes little space to store when not being used.
If you "Google" it there are several sites where it is available and some videos showing how it works.
