Riley is fed on jameswell beloved at the moment but I think he is getting a little bored of it now so I was looking into changing it . I have had a look at wainwrights at pets at home . The duck was 35 % and 30% sweet potato. I was wondering if anyone else has fed this food. I’m always a little scared of changing his food due to his fussiness ☹️

Don't try fix it.... beau has been on Burns Chicken and Brown Rice now for 9 Years , is he bored ? I don't know But... he eats every meal presented to him So ? who says they are bored ? Sometimes I think we treat our pets as we would want to be treated , but their perception of FOOD is a little bit different to us

He seems to eat it for a few weeks then just gets bored ☹️

As one of the raw feeding members of the forum, I have to say I always think that variety is a good thing - I'd get bored eating the same thing every day. However, with dry foods, changing them too often can cause problems I think. Feeding a raw diet, dogs are meant to be given a good variety of proteins (both white and red meat), so I would think if you want to change his dry food, do it gradually so that he gets used to the new food.
I'm not sure how helpful my post will be though. I've never fed Wainwrights so I have no experience of how the dogs like it. My cousin did feed Boo it when she was a puppy but I can't remember how she got on with it. From looking at the ingredients the grain free variety is a decent food and I'd consider using it if I was feeding dry.

Millie has Wainwrights and does well on it People actually commented on her coat when I changed her to it, and she’s certainly always active enough!

Would be worth having a chat to pets and home staff and see what they offer.
I know in the past they did offer a return and replace policy i.e if your dog would not touch it they allowed you to try another (same if you went in with severe gastro issue and food made dog worse).
My mum used to feed the Wainwright lamb with her dog for many many years. She now feeds Lilys Kitchen (after a delivery mistake when we got another persons order and company did not want it back and her dog loved the dry food). She sticks with a consistent dry food and just mixes up the wet food to add variety and interest.
