PF that's awful! I can't even imagine how terrifying that would have been for you both I really hope the little man's alright, but for now he's in the best hands. How fortunate that your vets is only a mile away! Also I hope you and Ryan are ok, sounds like Bernies got some sharp teeth and a strong jaw! You don't realise how 'present' they are in a home until they're gone even just for a few hours These things happen with bones and some dogs just get overly excited (and I'm sure you know how excited frenchies get!). I'd love to give Jasper a bone but he gobbles when he guards his food so I wouldn't want to risk it

Glad to hear he's doing well An oh I bet it feels like an eternity! Got my fingers crossed you get a call soon to go and pick him up. I bet your house will be spotless however! I really don't blame you, it's things like that, that make you want to wrap them up in cotton wool. You never think about it until its happened. Are there no substitutes for bone to give him? I've always wondered about ground bone powder but it seems like its only ever ground down with the raw meat. Obviously it wouldn't provide the stimulation of a bone but it'd put your mind at ease.

That's awful, poor Bernie. Give him a hug from me xxx To be honest, this is one of my major fears of raw and why I've never switched. I couldn't cope with something like that happening, and I don't think I could get to a vet in time to save them. I know there's a risk with all food, but I feel its smaller with dry. As long as its a decent quality, there's nothing wrong with it

What a frightening experience for you all. Thank goodness you reacted quickly and did the right thing even if you did both get hurt. I hope that Bernie is okay when you get him from the vets. Won't be long until you can get him - spring clean the house!

Oh Hun only just seen this. I'm so sorry to hear about Bernie. What a horrid scare for you. Sending you a big ((Hug)). I know that feeling when time stands still, hubby collapsed a few years ago and stopped breathing for 30 seconds of more, which is not very long but it felt like forever!?! Housework is a good way to make the time fly by, hope your ickle man is home soon.

Oh dear! Thats not good!
I think your move to eden is a good plan. I wouldnt have the confidence to feed raw to a puupy myself.
Eden is one of the best foods I have seen. Definitely up with Orijen. Its just not as expensive.
This does highlight that caution is a MUST feeding any type of bone, raw or otherwise.
I hope Bernie is ok.

Oh goodness! Sorry this happened to little Bernie It sounds like dry would be a great idea for him given the circumstance. So relieved he's fine!

Sorry to hear that. Hope Bernie is OK. Just on the off chance, you may be interested in this food, it's dehydrated raw so there wouldn't be the risk with the bones, you just add water to it & then feed it to the dog. See here
Eden does sound good though.
