Advice please, woke up this morning with Bella who had a very big sneeze literally snot on my arm and a very weepy eye, after she sneezed she seemed ok in herself ate her breakfast everything seemed normal apart from her eye which also seemed a little better, however tonight she seems a little quiet, has the snuffles and still the weepy eye although she's eaten really well two helpings of cooked chicken and half a pouch of felix. Don't really want to stress her vets just yet especially after the Molly experience but don't want her poorly either, what would you guys do I'm in two minds, when she first went into the rescue centre they said she had the snuffles which would've of been last May (is hay fever possible) xx π

Update - Bella's eyes better this morning but sneezing a little more and lots of snot bubbles out of one side of her nose πSpoken to the vet and they want to see her, so she has a 1.30 appointment hoping it's a allergy and nothing else π€Xx

Guess it goes without saying gotta try to avoid her pawing that eye and then pawing the other eye and spreading it, you also need to be careful with your touching her and then rubbing your eyes. So pleased it's nothing serious xx

Glad to hear Bella's healthy except for the conjunctivitis, hopefully the meds will soon clear it up & she'll be back to 100% fitness. I hope that the allergies don't reoccur molly9, if they do I suppose the vets may want to test for what the cause is precisely. A bit difficult if it is hay-fever related but at least you may be ready for it. I presume that there are feline equivalents of human anti-histamines which would help if it was an annual thing.

Thank you tonib she's already so much better the vet hasn't mentioned anti-histamine yet I've basically got to make sure the discharge doesn't turn green but at the moment her runny nose has slowed down she just sneezes every now and then, they did say a steamy room would be good for her as well not sure how I would achieve that Bella doesn't like the bathroom that's where the water lives π her annual flu jab is due in June theyre going to check things there, but I do agree does appear to be an annual thing for her π

Glad to hear Bella is improving, molly9 When our previous cat Chloe had a really bunged nose we rubbed vick on her chest (on the vets advice) & then sat on the loo in the en-suite with the shower running as hot as possible, shower door open & room door shut as the best way we could get enough steam. I can visualise a cat sitting over a bowl of steaming a towel over their head, well only for a second & then comes the ensuing chaos:- a lot of noise feline first followed by human, cat vanished (& dry) & hot water everywhere including over the owner!
