well just to let you know - Riley is feeling much better now as you can see. I managed to get this photo of him on Friday when I came home from work, he was enjoying the sunshine in the garden. <img style="max-width:100%;" alt="" src=' '>

I've been having to do this for years on this forum, also when I post if I don't refresh I don't see my post etc. It's been a pain and this is the only forum where I have to do it.

Riley had his op yesterday 😊 Hubby dropped him off at the vets at 8:30 am and I was at work it was the longest shift ever I was forever watching the time. We collected him at 4 ish , it was very traumatic for him bless him . The vet said they had to really dose him up has he was very anxious and stressed out and he was very panicky ☹️Although everything went ok and the bloods that he had were all normal.
He goes back on Monday for a check up. They also gave us some anxiety tablets to give him 1 hour before we go to try and chill him out a little They were a little worried that the next time he visits the vet he may feel quite stressed out and associate it with us leaving him . When the nurse brought him out to us he had a horrible cone on and it made him panic more than ever. So the nurse removed the cone and he's not really bothered with his little wound much at all . He slept most of last night ☹️His dad slept downstairs with him last night and he is more himself today.
Freddy was certainly glad to see him he was like a little lost sheep when I got home yesterday.

Brave Riley. It's done now so hopefully things will be much better from now on. My dog Kobi also panicked when he came from the vets with a cone on and he crashed into the side of the door and hit it off, and off it stayed after that. Glad that Freddy was happy to have him home.

Alfie didn't last long with his cone on when he had his op either - he kept bumping into the door frame and then would just stand there staring the floor, we felt bad and took it off he never touched the wound either.

Glad to hear that despite all the stress & extra doses Riley's op went OK chantel. Non of them like the cone so no wonder Riley didn't especially with his anxiety levels. Glad to hear he is more himself & that Freddy was pleased to see his return - maybe he was commiserating with him or cheering that Tiley as joined the neutered gang!! Hope his check-up goes Ok on Monday & that the tablets do the trick so that his vet visit isn't another stressful event for him.

What a lovely photo chantel, Riley's a handsome boy and what a beautiful coat (he might not think so in this heat). Nice that you have time off work and you can take care of Riley - he will appreciate it, I'm sure.

He's back to his normal boundy self thanx 😊It's not quite so easy though trying to keep him from zooming around in the garden. The only thing is he is not weeing much . He went from 10pm last night and I let him on the garden this morning at 7am and he just would not wee ☹️I spent ages with him this morning but nothing, so I got dressed and took him a short walk and he had a wee then . He is drinking plenty of fresh water .
Hubby thinks he is holding on to his wee because it is pulling on his little wound he said he did the same thing on Tuesday with him . Other than that he is doing ok .
I'm just hoping that the op has sorted out his problem .
