Hi everyone, Finally got back online. Thank you all for your kind replies and suggestions. Not much has changed as regards to her ears. She is still bald over the top of her ears and there is no sign of hair regrowth at all. We have continued with the feliway and have started on Rescue Remedy so fingers crossed.
We were advised by our vet to use sun cream on her ears when the weather is good so she doesnt burn. This proved very problematic at first as she hated having it on, until about 10 days ago when she gave us the slip and came home a few hours later with sunburnt ears. Now she sits patiently after her breakfast and waits till ive slathered her in cream before heading out! Bless her xx

Glad she has realised the sun cream is a good thing. Hope the calming measures continue to work for her.

Glad to hear that Perdita is no worse although its a shame she isn't getting any better around the ears. Our Penny's coat had decidedly improved with the Yumega Cat supplement, although she's not too impressed with the taste. Unfortunately there is also no noticeable improvement on her ears but it hasn't got worse & like Perdita is not showing any signs of discomfort etc. Her hairballs do seem to have decreased in frequency though & her new bed doesn't seem to be coated in hairs like it was before. So one plus for Yumega! We have to apply sun cream to Lexie's ears & the end of her nose (not the pink bit but just above) as they are predominantly white & the hair is a thin coat. We use a baby's sun cream which we got from Boots as it was a small tube. Penny doesn't go out so much so don't have to worry especially as she is also dark skinned on her eyes under the black fur. Perdita seems a really intelligent cat as she's learnt as she's learnt that she doesn't get burnt ears with the suncream & asks for it now. Thanks for updating us & hope all continues well.
