Orange urine isn't normal scallywag . Dogs can release a protein into their urine following injury/stress to a muscle but there are many other reasons for orange urine too, so best to check it out. I would collect a sample and make another appointment with your vet. thanks gypsy appreciate you taking the time to listen and respond x No problem scallywag. I would have replied sooner if I'd seen your post. Please let me know how Beau gets on.

Hope gypsy comes along to help you scallywag . Was it Dachshund vet mentioned scallywag , my grandpa used to say they were prone to disc issues. So sorry to hear Beau is not good. If he has been recently vaccinated could be worth questioning with vet as to if it could be an adverse reaction, though will not change current situation. My understanding is that stretching (front part of dog bowed down, bum in air) can be an indication of abdominal pain. Yes Dachshunds are prone to disc problems , my dog is a small x breed with no Dach in him, but 4 yrs ago he was not moving properly so i took him to vet , thankfully vet x rayed him , and then we were sent to referral vets for MRI , where it was found he had a leaking displayed disc , he had op to remove the disc , which i am so pleased my vet got the referral quickly , my dog is now 10 yrs old and is fine.

Oh poor Beau! Sorry scallywag I've not been on so just catching up, (in laws staying) Hope he's feeling better today, just to add another dimension, has your vet eliminated problems with his hips? Let us know how he gets on and give him a gentle {{HUG}} from me Jasp and the moggies.

Poor Beau. Hope he feels better soon scallywag. He hasn't eaten anything out of the norm has he? A friend's Springer was running around quite normally on our walk a few weeks ago and we stopped to talk to some other people. While we were stood I just happened to glance at him and notice he didn't quite look right. He was making some odd stretching movements. Then he threw up a load of grass. After that he was back to running around again, but after we left the people we'd been talking to, he threw up a bit more which had stones and some sort of bottle top in it. Again he seemed back to normal after that, but she ended up having to take him to the vets at 2am where he had an operation to remove some broken pottery(!) and a bottle top.

I'm glad to see that Beau is back to normal now scallywag. But I don't believe it.....Last night Jasper had a beef rib, and now today Jasp has the exact same symptoms that Beau had. I've given him a dose of Loxicom now fingers crossed that he responds as well as Beau has. If he's no better by tomorrow then he's going to have to go to the vets too.

Thanks scallywag, he seems a lot better this afternoon. Just don't know if that has anything to do with the Loxicom or if whatever was wrong with him is passing.

Thanks scallywag, tonib and lotsofcats. Jasper went down hill again last night, and just couldn't get comfy, but at about 3.30 this morning he got me up to let him out. He had big poo and the scratched with his back legs ran back it and off up to bed. When I got up at 5.30am he did the same thing, and thankfully he's been back to his normal self since. We think he's just eaten too much bone at too late of night and developed trapped wind. He won't be allowed to do that again I can tell you.
