Ha ha clever boy Barley, what do you use this for PP? If you alternate fast enough does he look like he is shaking his head?! Lol
What words do you use and how long does he hold it for? Did you use clicker training?

Ohhh, well done Annabelle but mainly Barley! He is a very clever boy indeed! How did you train him it? Any good points or advice I could use for when I teach Charlie this trick? Thanks!

It was a natural thing for him to do as it is one of his calming signals, i sat on the floor in front of him with treats and a clicker and stared at him which made him feel a little uncomfortable but he started to use calming signals like turning his head and sniffing the ground yawning and licking his lips so i started to reward him for head turning and he will start when i sit on the floor in front of him, he will turn his head and wait if i dont click he turns if round further or changes sides, he does it via hand signlas of left hand out and right hand out, he can only do it in the down position and sometimes in the sit but that is as far as we have progress. Yes i do clicker train he picks up on things quicker if i clicker train, the reason i started it was for calming signals and getting him to use them around other dogs, he does not do it fast enough he holds his head in the same postion until i click, he holds if fro about 5-10 sec but will work on duration and other calming signals when i have easter holiday off

Thanks for telling me how to train this trick PP! I also clicker train as Charlie sometimes gets confused with other tricks (e.g. He gets confused with Bow and Lie Down, but still making progress on bow). So when I use the clicker, he understands properly!

You should try and put videos on of him doing some tricks PP? That would be good!
