….. highlight a members name? I have noticed that most of you when mentioning a members name it highlights it so that when the person logs on the forum they can see they have been mentioned. It won't do it for me. Assistance please. Thank you.

It won't do it for me. Assistance please. Thank you. Simply put a....@ in front when you type the user name ( No spaces ) that then tags them and they get a notification that you tagged them xx

Hi puddycats, if you hover your cursor over the members name on one of their posts you'll see what to type. Its fusually straight forward but a @ in front of the name displayed but a few members have the name that is displayed different to actual login name. You're puddycats for both but if you look at Kupo.kisses you'll see she's actually Missmeany (her old forum name) so to reference her in post you'd put the @ in front of missmeany not kupo.kisses You can see that if you click on Members on the menu bar & have a look down the page that is displayed. You'll see there's an ABee in the first column (Name) but if you hover the cursor over it you'll see that pawticular comes up with a @ in front & you'll also see that name in the 2nd column (Username). It sounds complicated but it isn't, you'll soon get used to it. The reason it does this is that people sometimes wish to change the name that is displayed against their posts & this means that they don't have to set up a new account in order to change it. I've changed my name (just so you can see) what I mean. I'll change it back when you've seen it If you use the new one with an @ in front it won't do what you want but if you use tonib with the @ it'll work. Try a reply with both options in & you'll see what I mean Toni
