Thanks guys, your messages really mean a lot. I've been out most of today but my man and I have had lots of chats about our memories with Carlotta which has been nice. She was a very funny cat. She might have looked very graceful and sweet to guests but she was mental haha. She used to climb up my mans back and sit on his shoulder as he walked around, and on Christmas this year we had a couple of lads over, one sat in the computer chair that my man is always in when she does it, and she leapt up the chair and climbed up this poor guys back before realising it wasn't my man and leaping off haha. I actually have a video of my man walking around with her on his shoulders, so glad we recorded it.
She also loved rolling in mud in an empty long pot I had on the balcony floor for her, which meant that every time we went to the vet he'd at some point casually as possible run a flea comb through her hair and then turn away and manically inspect it for flea dirt haha.
Ha, it's nice to remember all the wonderful times we had with her. It's a shame we only had her for two years, but they were an action packed fun two years with her. Very strange being at home without her though, feel very sad that she's gone.

You have some great memories by the sounds of it Erika, she was a special part of your lives, and a precious gift. Be blessed in knowing you gave her the best life possible. She was also blessed to have found you two, she knows how much you loved her xx

So so sorry to hear about Carlotta. I've had quite a bit of catching up to do on here.
She had the best life she could want with you and was in the best care. You did all you could for her. That's so sweet how she was trying to cheer you up.
RIP Carlotta xxx

OMG just seen this Sitting here with tears pouring down my face How on earth did I miss this From reading the other thread about her teeth (another which I'm just catching up on!!!) you DID do the right thing by bringing her home and pampering her for what time she had left (((HUGS))) She'll have certainly appreciated the warmth from the radiator I would often put the electric heater on for Hattie in her final weeks ~ even if it was warm outside ~ and she loved that. If it's any consolation I would have done EXACTLY the same as regards her treatment - why stress them out by having to wrestle pills down their throat and drag them back and forth to the vets if it's not going to cure the problem and only add another few days or weeks to their life I'm a big believer in bring 'em home, pamper them rotten with love, good food and a warm bed and then let them go with happy memories Carlotta knew she was loved by you both and that's all that matters ((((((HUGE HUGS)))))) RIP Beautiful Girl ~ run free at Rainbow Bridge xxxxxxxxx

Thanks @gillykat that's nice to hear. We all miss her very much but we know we did the right thing for her. Plus we feel she had a longer life with us than she would otherwise have had which is nice in a way, because if we hadn't changed her diet and she'd gone on vomiting every night then I really doubt she'd have even lived as long as she did.
I've been having a look through all my photos of her, so many great memories over the last couple years thanks to her!

That's it - she was a happy cat right till the end and you've got all those lovely memories to remember her by Hard to believe it's been over four months since we lost Hattie and at times I miss her SO much it really hurts but ~ after a few tears ~ I'll look at photos of her and remember all the funny habits she had and there's a warm glow because we knew she had a happy pampered few months retirement with us when she wanted for nothing.....and she certainly took advantage of us not being able to say no to her! I've given Lily & Chilli a BIG hug and kiss each and warned them NOT to ever fall ill! Even if I cannot have a dog because Queen Tyrant Chilli Bean says No I still love 'er and would be lost without them both!

Thanks bectil , it's been very strange here without her and Mieze is missing her a lot, we still talk about her a lot though and have sooo many pictures and videos which is really nice. She was short lived, but she had a massive personality that I'll never forget and always be glad I got to enjoy that time with her
