Our beautiful Hamble, who died in March this year, aged only about 4 (not sure of her exact age, because she was a rescue cat). She was with us for a little over a year. Much missed now and always by her humans and by her feline friend Jemima. P1070942 by scarletslippers, on Flickr P1060154 by scarletslippers, on Flickr

She really was a beauty and you only had her for a short time but I hope you have many fond memories of her. How did you choose her unusual name?

From the old children's programme Play School, lotsofcats! Jemima and Hamble were both names of dolls that regularly featured in the show :-) They were originally called Tinky and Tammy, which we didn't think suited them, although we've kept Mae's name, as we think it seems right for her.

I can see scallywag as a cat lover but an owner? I have a feeling that might be a step to fair lotsofcats, Beau would have something to say about that I suspect
