They're so cute! How do you get such good pictures of them? I can never get nice pictures of my boys! I just take like a million - and then go back through them afterwards and I've usually managed to get a few good ones among the blurs! I think it helps too that neither of them are in barred cages and the glass/perspex is easier to take pics through. We don't see enough of your hams! You're so lucky having three Syrians. As much as I love Joey, I ideally would have liked another Syrian but didn't have enough space for another Syrian sized cage! So had to have a mini cage and a mini ham instead

I will have to try and get more! I do love Syrians, they're so tame and easy to stroke! Mine are all in barred cages so it's harder!! I love my boys! They're all so different and funny!

What cages do you have? I'm such a hamster dork. I love arranging their cages on clean out day and then seeing them scurry around their new pad when they go back in I spend more than a healthy length of time trying to make things exciting and different for them Rupert is tame but quite nervous and jumpy, I have to handle him really slowly and carefully or he panics. Joey is just wired to the moon - I can't get near him without him leaping half way across his tank!

Awww they're adorable! Was going to say the same about the photos haha I could never seem to get any good photos of my small furries - they never stayed still long enough! Love the way you've set up their cages, they look very exciting What sort of bedding does Joey have in his cage - the white stuff with blue & green bits? I've never had a Syrian. I had a Russian Dwarf when I was younger but he was absolutely evil and put me off getting another hamster at all My friend had a lovely Syrian though, we had them at college too and they were great! I ended up with gerbils instead haha!

Aww bless! Sometimes I think I don't spend enough time with mine, I really do love them and obviously clean them out etc, just sometimes think I should play with them a bit more! I don't do it on cleaning out day because it takes me ages with the three of them and the piggies when I've got limited time. I talk to them every night though! They've all got Ferplast cages, one of them has got an extra two shelves for him to climb onto and the others are smaller. I've got the bigger one from when I only had one hammy and then didn't have space for two more big cages!!
All three of them are happy to be stroked but Chewit's the bravest of them!

Joey loves to dig so the Carefresh (the multicoloured stuff) is best for him.

The last one's Pebble and the other is Chewit. All boys! I never noticed he looked sad before! He shouldn't be!

Haha milliepup04 he's just trying out his puppy dog eyes how do you all find their temperaments by the way? I have had four hamsters in my life, two dwarf *something russian* hamsters as a kid that were super aggressive (Sammy & Pingu), then a female golden, Phoebe, who was a master escape artist. I chose her as she was scrabbling up the front if the enclosure and looked friendly, should have known she was just trying to escape! She ended up living in a fish tank as she escaped everything else. I handled her every day but she wasn't ever keen, she just loves to run on her wheel. Just after I got her I got Joey, a long haired Syrian hamster who was suuuuper friendly and chilled out, he was absolutely wonderful. He really enjoyed being handled and groomed, and would come up to me to get taken out. Once both hamsters escaped their balls (don't judge, I didn't know any better at the time haha) and I only noticed coz he was standing in his cage looking at me and I couldn't remember putting him back. We used to call the two of them Pinky & The Brain haha. We sell big tanks for guinea pigs or rats at work that I think would make great hamster or gerbil cages. You can put deep soil in for them to burrow and it is like an aquarium but has ventilation holes in the sides. I think it's plastic rather than glass sides though. There's also one which is the same but then has a cage on top which also looks good. They kind of make me want to get a hamster again haha but I don't think I'll ever find another Joey.

Awww milliepup04, they're all gorgeous! I LOVE the colour of the little cream one, Chewit? He's adorable! Please don't take this the wrong way, just wasn't sure if you knew (I didn't until a few weeks after I got Rupert and read it on a hamster forum!) - but did you know Syrian's need a wheel that is at least 11'' in diameter? They need to run with a straight back - wheels that are smaller cause an arch/curve in their back when they run which is very painful for them.

All three of them are lovely! These are hammies 9, 10 and 11 and all of them have been friendly. They've all been boys as I've heard that they are friendlier than the females.
My first one, Wiggle, I got when I was 4. He was a right escape artist! He was the nippiest of them too! He never bit me but he bit my grandad quite a lot! I held him and everything though. He escaped and ended up on top of his cage once! Another time his ball opened and he ended up running around the bathroom!
My 3rd one, Cracker, got really ill. He went to the vets numerous times but they didn't know what it was and sadly he didn't get any better. His fur fell out and he got horrible scabby things all over him. He was still happy enough in himself and had a nice life though.
That's fine barley! I didn't know! None of them use them anyway (apart from Nibbles occasionally). Pebble just hides underneath his! I'll have a look at some bigger ones!
