So sorry to hear this sad news. You did the best thing by being strong and letting her go. Even though you knew it was not going to end happily it is still a shock and so sad for everyone. Remember Sindy in happier times.
RIP Sindy

Awwww Chantel darling - giz a hug ((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) We'll have a good cry together Yes, HOW do these little horrors manage to break our hearts into a million pieces so much!!! You did do the right thing petal and didn't let your beautiful brave baby suffer (((HUGS)))
I know it's unbearable agony just now but soon it'll be replaced by happier memories as you remember the funny habits she did and, in the case of my Hattie, what a bossy little horror she was and how, for an old rickety girl, she had a good turn of foot when it came to legging it under the furniture when it was time for her Felimazole pills Tears are good so let them fall and NEVER be ashamed to have a good cry - I always say LET yourself have a blooming good cry and let it all out for 20 minutes, no more, then dry your eyes, blow your nose and then get on with something that'll keep your mind off things. Sitting around crying doesn't help me with the grieving process - I once read about the 20 minute thing and tried it when I next lost an oldie and it DOES work. It gives you a chance to REALLY let the pain out and is quite cathartic.
You will survive this hun - even tho' I know it's just THE worst pain ever Anyone who says it's 'just' an animal is to be pitied because they've obviously never known the true unconditional love they give You let it out petal (((HUGS))) And remember...we've all been through it on this forum so never be afraid to talk to us ((((((((BIG HUGS))))))))

Thanks gillycat for your kind words x.you are right though keeping busy does really help.the worst time is when i wake up in amorning and realise she is not there any more.i keep having a moment but i try not to cry in front of riley as he is really fretting at the moment.he keeps standing at the bottom of the stairs just looking up waiting for her to come down bless him.not getting much sleep at the moment too much going off in my head.
