I think there is something seriously wrong with Carlotta.
She has a lump on the back of her leg and bald patches from over grooming on the back of her two front legs. She vomits blood. Ive been to the vet about all those things, they gave her a wee jab and anti sickness pills and it went away for a bit, but it's back. Trying to find a vet who will see us tomorrow but it seems there isn't emergency vets who answer their phones in Berlin!
She all so has very inflamed lymph nodes around her neck, so she looks like she's got a big fat double chin but I know that's not it, as she's very skinny otherwise. She's had that for a little while, but I'm not sure from when, I didn't really notice them form.
She has always been a very sickly cat and so with the bloody vomiting I had wondered if she had a stomach ulcer or something.
Anyway if we can't get a vet appointment tomorrow (or tonight!) we will have to wait till Tuesday unfortunately. I will have to send my man to that one as unfortunately I actually have the keys to my work for a change. I'll make him a big list of symptoms and notes about her health though. Hopefully I can find a vet who doesn't celebrate easter...

OHHH how worrying for you!no good asking if it could be a bite from a fight as you will have checked. If her lymph nodes are up she is fighting some infection poor thing. Can't you always bet on problems surfacing on a weekend or bank holiday to add to worries? Hope you manage to find a vet and Carlotta hasn't anything seriously wrong.Hopefully Gypsy will read your thread and be able to offer some sound advice.Fingers crossed she will be o.k.

Thanks fro the replies! No answer for the vet unfortunately. He said her lymph nodes seemed fine, and to be fair they are looking a bit smaller, he wasn't bothered by the lumps on her legs, he was frightened to touch them to be fair since after he felt her lymph nodes she became really aggressive and wouldn't let him anywhere near her. She's never been like that before, I said that to him but he didn't seem to believe me. She's normally great at the vets haha.
She then sat pressed against me and the vet thought this was a great time to inject her with an anti sickness medication. She went crazy and started biting at my hand which ended up bleeding, and scratching my stomach which is also cut open. I don't think I have my tetanus jabs so will need to get those just in case. Thanks vet.
He said there's not much he can do, he can't see what the problem is and I should bring in a poop sample tomorrow. She is now separated from Mieze till she goes for said poop as otherwise I'll have no idea which is which. He also gave me some anti sickness tablets to give her a quarter of each day. Sure she'll be delighted about those haha. I said to him that I was worried the blood in the sick meant there was something wrong internally but he didn't seemed bothered about that.
She's in a big huff in bed now haha, but she's lying curled up in my jacket so I hope that means she's forgiven me (although I should be the one doing the forgiving, I'm the one that got savaged haha!).

OWWWWWCH!!!Poor you and poor Carlotta, what a horrible time you are having.Sounds like a nightmare, you must have been really shaken and sore after all that smilesbetter. At least a dog can be muzzled and you don't have the battle with sharp claws.Phew, and I moaned about Skip being scared of the vet and needing a muzzle....Would have been a better idea if they had given you a towel to wrap her in then you may have been protected a bit while vet gave the injection.Surely blood coming from anywhere needs investigating,no wonder you don't have much faith in your vets.Hope you bathed your wounds asap, and that Carlotta starts feeling better very soon.

Oh and the vet also mentioned that he couldn't do much with it being a holiday day haha, and seemed to think I was being stupid for coming in. My cat vomited pure blood last night and it was the first vet open since then, of course I was gonna come in! Who sees their cat vomit blood and doesn't rush off to the vets as soon as one is open? And when he was feeling the lymph nodes on her neck, he kept squeezing them and leaping away when she hissed. He then let her jump off the table and then just started stupidly after her while I went and picked her up and calmed her down. He's certainly no cat man haha, he didn't even let her sniff his hand before grabbing her neck, I'm not surprised she was hissing and growling at him. Poor thing probably thought she was being attacked. She's been fine at the vets before and had jags no bother as long as the vet introduces themselves properly first but both times she's seen him she's had a horrible time. Unfortunately they were the only vets even open today. I know cats can be super vicious at the vets, but until today Carlotta never was, and she's had all sorts of jabs, she's had vets examining her teeth while she sits perfectly and let's them, she's had a water drip before and even been fine with having blood taken. At the end I even had to ask the vet myself if he had anything I could disinfect my hand with and he seemed really surprised haha, I mean my hand was actually bleeding and cats bites are meant to be quite bad, so I though it was a fair ask! He almost charged me for the iodine and bit of cotton he used too hahaha. In fact, I might have paid for that. Anyway I'll keep you guys updated on how Carlotta is doing. Hopefully the poop sample will give us some answers, although I think the problem is more to do with the start of her digestive system or possibly not actually the digestive system at all. Eating doesn't seem to affect it and the bloody vomit rarely contains any food and is usually more like bloody stomach acid or something like that. She drinks a lot afterwards. Last night she was drinking from Rosas water bowl for over a minute, lapping away non stop. The vet didn't seem to find this unusual but I know it is. Grr, getting really annoyed at vets not taking me seriously, he made me feel like a crazy cat lady and it felt like he was just giving the injection and the tablet as a sort of afterthought because he hadn't a clue what was wrong and wanted to get onto the next patient (which were all cats, bwahaha). He hardly touched Carlotta apart from grabbing and squeezing her neck, then seemed scared to go near her after that haha. And despite me telling him that she'd been vomiting blood and might have a digestive issue, meh poured some science plan cat food onto the table in front of her. When I said she was allergic to something in cat food and it always made her vomit for three days straight, he just looked at me like I was mad and left them there so I had to move them myself, not that I think she'd have eaten them because she was far too wound up. Haha sorry!!! There is one vet I like that I've seen in Scotland so don't worry I don't hate all of them just glad Mieze is going to Scotland soon and can be seen by him instead of having to suffer the terrible ones here. Not that she needs to go to the vets very often, I'm left here with the two sick patients when she's gone haha.

migsy well Carlotta wouldn't normally need a towel or anything, she's usually totally fine, but this vet just doesn't know how to handle cats at all. She's usually so timid at the vets and a bite from Carlotta is normally a very soft warning "mouth" rather than a bite. Poor thing was really freaked out. I'm feeling alright, will need to get a doctors appointment tomorrow to get my tetanus shot haha!

Poor girl, I hope the poop samples help.
I had a really bad cat bit a few years ago now. I rang the NHS hot line thingy told them I had a cat bite, and they ask if that was like being stabbed, Grrr! Ended up going to A&E and they cleaned it for me and gave me antibiotics as it's classed as a dirty wound. I asked about tetanus and was told that they no longer gave them if I'd had them and my booster at school. That's fine, but I left school over 30 years ago.

Well the cat bite is quite swollen and still quite sore. She was biting in to the bone though and haha, since she's been on the raw diet her jaw has got a LOT stronger hahaha, serves me right so it's possibly bruised the bone a bit. Gonna phone the doctor tomorrow and see what he says. I imagine it'll be really busy tomorrow after the long weekend though so they might not give me an appointment till next week anyway. My man got the tetanus jag a few months ago after the last time we tried to give Mieze a tablet and she scratched his side up quite considerably so I can definitely get one here, just no idea when I last had mines, definitely had one at school, I assume that was the last one? Must have been about ten years ago, Jeezy peeps. Anyway my man says the swelling is good as that's my body fighting off any form of infection. I hope that doesn't mean there is infection haha! I've read too many cat bite horror stories! No poop sample yet haha, Carlotta has been sleeping in a box on top of the wardrobe all day in a huff at being locked in the bedroom. Hoping she does a poop tonight so I can get the sample, as I don't like to have the bedroom door shut and both cats denied access to a part of the flat they usually get into, not fair on either of them. Would feel mean having Mieze shut out of the bedroom all night, and Carlotta is desperate to get out of the bedroom.

Sorry to hear things didn't go well at the vets smilesbetter, poor you & Carlotta. Your experiences make me realise how lucky we are with ours. The vet (or nurses) should have been able to scruff Carlotta to check her over if necessary & if her lymph glands were fine how come she didn't like him checking them!!!! maybe he didn't smell right. Hoe you get the sample & the vet can test it, I must admit I'd be worried if one of our cats vomited blood, especially if it was more than once. Did the vet say why he wasn't worried about a lump - I would expect an explanation for anything that looked wrong that was classed by the vet as OK!! Hope you can get some help/explanations soon & your wounds heal soon with no trouble.
