Well I have a good 2 weeks to do stuff on the new food thing. I have the old one saved in a word document so I will still have it when the forum goes.
I'm going to add something in regarding animal testing this time, I think. Do you like that, or is it too much? It's quite an important issue and one that most people are ignorant to but it goes on regularly in the petfood industry.

Coincidentally, the companies that test on animals have poor foods too, strange huhh? Well, maybe not so strange...

Hills, Royal canin, purina, Procter&Gamble, Eukanuba and so on. I will need to look into some of the companies though as Hills now claim not to carry out invasive tests, but iams does too yet they still claim not to.

I'd love to see a new food thread, Bextull! You might be able to get it all into one post on this new forum too. I'll be looking forward to the raw section since I'm planning on moving my girls over as soon as I can get a freezer

1 post might be pushing it, but i think 2 or 3 would be ok? I'm unsure if i should put lots of sciency stuff in there, ie a little bit on enzymes and the digestive system? I wouldnt be filling it up with sciency stuff but if i put a little in do you think it would be too "heavy" or "wordy" ? Do you want anything on the history of pet foods? Supplements? Or anything you want for yourself?

I have never raw fed any of my dogs before I used to own Akitas for those of you who are BRAND new to your dog and didn't already know ). I think it is a great idea Bextull because you have so much advice to offer! Animal testing is very very serious indeed Bextull and needs to be taking note of more! I hate Pedigree, Bakers, Wagg, Iams, and other brands like that! Also like store brand ones like Tesco's dog meat and stuff, its just fat and jelly and stuff!

I could possibly compare 3 wet and dry foods if it interests people, might take me a little longer to do but it is do-able? Any brands in particular, goog or bad?

I was just thinking that there might not be a character/word limit on here, but I can't see anything to say if there is or not Either way, 2 or 3 posts should be fine! I personally don't think it would be too heavy or wordy. I like to know the theories behind things, so I'm interested in the sciency bits too. The history of pet food might be quite good too. And definitely supplements. There are so many with so many benefits. I'm doing a natural pet health care course and my favourite two modules so far have been the nutrition module and the supplements one!
