So, seeing as this is a new forum and things can be made sticky I have been thinking about making a new food thread.
I know a lot more than I did when I made the first one so it will have some new bits in. Hopefully my raw thread will be moved over here too.
So, is there any interest in a new food thread? What would you like in it? Anything specific?

Ooh, that would be interesting to read! I'd love some raw treat ideas too... Something that can be used with clicker training.

Have you spoken to James about bringing your food thread over?? No, but I'm not fussed. I'll be taking things out of it and putting stuff in so I'm better off rewriting a new one. I'll have a much bigger raw section this time, so I'll try out what treats work raw and what doesn't. Are you a raw feeder pettisfilous? I'm a fellow clicker lover!!!

First time puppy owner and first time raw feeder! I've jumped straight in at the deep end and enjoyed every minute of it! At the moment he has three meals a day. He always has chopped chicken necks for breakfast, followed by mince (beef, lamb, rabbit, tripe, chicken or turkey) and offal (lung, heart, kidney and liver) that my butcher minces for me. For tea he has mince again and I chuck in a portion of fish, beef chunks, a whole raw egg, probiotic yoghurt or cottage cheese weekly. I also add olive oil, keepers mix, easy greens and a garlic and fenugreek tablet into his meals daily

I like the idea of raw feeding. Purely because it is basically like bringing the wild.food back to the dog - Earl's breeder started him on dry so dry we're keeping him on.

Thats being moved over here by James next week. Awesome! Oscar is my first dog too, but he is coming on 3 soon! I used to give Keepers Mix and salmon oil but I now only give coconut oil and its the best supplement I have used! Love it! He gets fish once or twice a week so he does get plenty of fish oils too. I've been feeding raw for nearly 9 months now, been wanting to do it since Oscar was one though. Dog nutrition has got to be one of my biggest interests! I usually class heart as muscle meat, not offal. You did your research on raw I take it?

Oh yes I know that, I take it all into account when weighing it out My breeder actually put him on raw from 9 weeks old so I was able to carry that on and amend as needed. I absolutely love chatting away about dog nutrition. I work for PAH and get so carried away having a good natter with the customers lol

Bextull, I think the food thread was good first time so if this one will be spanking new and updated why not! As long as you have time to do it and don't mind. Hope the raw thread comes over as I will be wanting something to crib from!!
