I normally avoid registering for most dog forums now as I don't tend to contribute too much but I've been lurking about for a couple of weeks, liked the atmosphere here and decided to register. My name's Emma, I live in Bedfordshire and we have 6 dogs. Dobermans, Jack Russells and a singular Min Pin. I'm more of a big dog person but the little ones are a lot of fun. I enjoy learning about different methods of handling/training and would like to pursue a career involving dogs, breeding and training.
The only forums I've felt comfortable contributing to have been breed-specific Doberman forums to be honest (Dobes are my dogs, y'know) but I really enjoyed the feel of this forum, so here I am.

Hi! I'm Katie, I have one dog, Scooby, a mixed breed (not entirely sure what he's got in but we think Weimaraner, Labrador and some Alsatian) I also prefer big dogs generally, but like the small ones too! Love Dobes so looking forward to seeing some photos of yours I also have a cat called Ziggy I'm sure you'll be comfortable on this forum in no time, everyone is very friendly and happy to help if you have any questions

Hi Laura and Alfie, migsy and Skip, and Katie, Scooby and kitty cat Ziggy. Thanks for the welcomes. I used to have a cat called Scally Wag and a cat called Slinky. More of a dog person, but you know...Gotta love cats. You are very friendly! Not a lot of "feral conflict" here which is nice (in fact, I haven't seen any). The majority of forums that I scroll through get heated very quickly on most subjects, hence why I don't sign up! Someone could post a photo of their dog sleeping in their car in the winter time and the thread gets closed within a day because people have broken out the capital letters and gone off topic, LOL. This seems like a balanced place with supportive and informative people so here's hoping I don't slip back into the woodwork.

Welcome to the forum! I'm Erika, I have a 1 year old Icelandic Sheepdog/Border collie cross Rosa, and two cats Carlotta and Mieze (as well as another cat Smudgie and a missing cat Bramble who live back home with my parents). Looking forward to yearning more about you and your bunch. I particularly love dobermans, my parents had one (and Rotties) before I was born and I've always loved hearing about them. I live in Germany now so I see a few dobermans around, such beautiful dogs.

Hello Imogen and Millie, "scallywag", Daisy and Poppy (is that a running theme?! I like it) and hi Erika, Rosa and the cats. I love Icelandic Sheepdogs, AND Border Collies. I'd originally wanted an Icelandic Sheepdog after I saw one at the dog shelter, but got the terriers instead. The shelter dog had already found a home (she was beautiful) but she got me hooked on the looks and personality. I always like the dogs that I'd be awful working with, LOL.
I'm "into" photography and used to share my photos freely. I don't take too many photos now to be honest. Last year I got a facebook message from someone on the Doberman forum I'm part of linking me to a "for sale" ad. It was a litter of Doberman puppies, and in the photos there was a picture of my BITCH as the stud DOG to the litter, LOL.
These photos aren't too recent, but I'm on the laptop and they're the only ones I have! This is the oldest Dobe, Tia. She's coming up to 9 now. She's not doing too well health wise, but she seems happy enough for the time being.
Kay (left) and Tia. Kay's not vocal, but Tia's got this covered. This is the photo that was used in the for sale ad, LOL. I'm not sure if anyone believed she was the stud dog after looking at this photo, seeing as she's got no, uh...mandanglies.

We are a friendly bunch on here. We have had the odd 'heated debate' that has got a little 'out of hand' on here but thats cos we care and its not as anyone is nasty. Usually when it starts getting out of hand we call for @scallywags red card animation, that usually works to bring things back in line! (I can not remember the last time we had to do that!! ) I am one of two Caz's on here, I am owned by two dogs who mean the world to me Those are lovely pictures of your dogs
