Hello Laura, welcome to the forum! Love the pics of Bella and Pebble, they look gorgeous. I'm Erika and also Scottish, but living in Berlin at the moment with my two cats and dog. Hope you like the forum, we are a friendly bunch!

Hi Erika! Thank you for your lovely reply. I love your photo signature, the cats & dogs look adorable! Berlin's a beautiful city. I had a wonderful short break there 9 years ago. Hope you're enjoying your stay... I'm sure you won't be missing the Scottish weather! You have given me a great first impression of the forum & I'm sure I'll enjoy being part of it  |

Hi @lozzah2o welcome to the forum. Ive never had cats but it doesn't stop me chatting to all my cat buddies on here. We all get along and interact, cat and dog owners alike. Love the photo's. Hi & thanks scallywag! I've never owned a dog before but I've known several dog owners in my time... Unfortunately they were not a big fan of the cat community though haha! Oh a monthly photo comp?! Welcome to the forum @lozzah2o,, hope you enjoy it here. If you need any help with the forum don't hesitate to ask we don't bite & were all new here once Bella & Pebbles look lovely & seem to be great friends from the photos, looking forward to hearing more of their adventures. Looks like you're going to have to check the washing machine before using it from now on!  I'm Toni with 4 rescue cats aged between 5 & nearly 16. I've never had the privilege of being servant to a kitten as I was brought up with dogs & only started with cats in the last 12 years & they were all adults when I got them. |

@lozzah2o I actually miss the Scottish weather loads haha, I'm terrified of thunder and lightning and we get a lot of it here in summer, plus it gets so hot in summer that I find it hard to function at all haha, and our flat gets super hot. The cats seem to enjoy it though and love watching birds on the balcony. Still, I'm looking forward to moving back to Scotland one day. Love the photo of Pebble in the washing machine, what a cutie. You should definitely join in the photo comps (it's in the Photography Section which is in General - can't link as I'm using the app), we also have a Feline Photo of the Day post where we all post lots of photos of our cats. My dog drowned my phone last year so I haven't been posting (or taking) as many photos as I used to, I'll get more up soon though! |

Hi & thanks very much tonib! I'm already really enjoying the forum thanks to all the lovely people on here Bella & Pebble are great friends, they have their moments though... A bit like a married couple! We got Pebble only 5 weeks ago & we believe he was a lot younger than what the owner admitted, but luckily for him he's arrived into a loving home Oh I'm sure there will be plenty of adventures to report & photos to show on here as the weeks go on! I'll definitely need to check the washing machine after Pebble sneaking into my washing... And tonight he was watching the washing machine go round while sitting on the door Awww Toni, that's lovely about you having rescue cats of all different ages! Well I can tell you from experience that being a servant to a kitten can be very tiring but lots of fun too! We got Bella when she was 8 weeks so we've been here before but to be honest it's been totally different with both Bella & Pebble... Bella was hiding for days when she first arrived into the house, but Pebble was ruling the roost the second he arrived with no fear at all Hope to catch up with you again soon |

Thanks so much for your lovely reply smilesbetter! Awww not good about the thunder & lightning, I really don't like thunderstorms either! Oh hot sunny weather is good when you're on holiday & not having to work so I can imagine that trying to function at all would be a thought haha! Our flat is the same, in the summer it's like a sauna but in the winter it can be like a fridge when the heating switches off during the night. I don't think I've ever had a happy medium since moving into this house! Like your cats, they seem to love their environment & enjoy watching the birds from the bedroom window. I really hope you have the opportunity to move back to Scotland soon Awww thanks for the comments on my photos. I'll definitely join in with the photo comps - I think I've found it so I'll get to work on taking some photos for ether the comp or Feline Photo of the Day! That's such a shame about your phone, bad dog hehe! Hope you manage to take some photos and post more soon, it'll be great to see! Hope to speak to you again soon |
