My tip is think high meat, low carbohydrate, grain free if possible My list of dry foods :-What I have fed Orijen Acana Applaws I have considered but have not tried Eden Fishmongers Caz would you say fishmongers is better than JWB? Also noticed wainwrights comes up more than JWB too. I do use WW but as I can get JWB cheaper online and it's a bit of a trek to Pets@home it's easier to get JWB more.

Gladys, so sorry cant help with JWB, its one of those foods which does not suit Gypsy!! Not all foods suit all dogs!! I have fed WW (grained) to Phoebe as a puppy and other than saying that the salmon one creates wind I had no issues with it. My mum feeds WW senior (grained) to her 10yr old and she is thriving on it!
I have friends who swear by JWB including one who had real skin issues with her lab. Its the only food which works for her dog. After being a convert to the premium grain free brands I would now say that JWB is not overly high meat content for the price.
Fishmongers is on my list of possibles as I am the opposite to you, I have a P@H about 5 min drive away so it is an option that I can buy locally. It has a decent amount of meat content ~50%. Its not on applaws or orijen levels but it is not bad.
However if all goes to plan my two will be going raw!!

Thanks caz2golden JWB seems to suit Cooper because of his skin issues but I do worry that the meat could be higher. Do you think adding wet fishmonger is going to make a difference to this amount?? So you making the switch soon then?

Just doing raw weekends at the moment! I am waiting for a freezer to be delivered and I need to reduce the amount of dry and wet doggy food I have in the house. Then I am going to give it a shot!!

Dogs love it............... ................just some of it don't love them!! looks like tripe for one of them and pork for the other may be problematic. Had one dog sick sharp bone fragments which knocked my confidence.

So, we have recieved the samples of CSJ, and we are thinking of starting the tryouts this weekend? I will always be remembering the more negative comments on this thread however, and that in itself is making me lean away from the food, but then there's no harm in trying it as we've recieved the samples anyway, and it was kind of our friend to give us some. She has given us a sample of larger kibble bits, and smaller.

You could always give it as treats rather than Earls main food?? Let us know what you think.

Hi everyone, We have decided not to swap Earl to CSJ, and to keep him on Symply. The fibre in CSJ is much lower than in Symply and he needs fibre. There are also other ingreedients that are higher/lower than CSJ/Symply which we disagree on, so we are doing the best for Earl and his diet. Thank you again everyone for giving me tips, they have helped a lot, and leaded me in the right direction
