Hello all
Has anyone ever used Zylkene capsules on their cats? If so, what affects (if any) did it have on them? I've had a look at some reviews online and I've heard some positive results. At the moment I have an indoor cat who has always been an only cat. I've acquired a neighbours cat over the last few months, but they don't get on and we can't keep her in the house as it's just too stressful for them. She is now our outdoor cat. We have a little pet kennel in the garden with lots of warm blankets inside. She also has the SnuggleSafe heatpad under her blankets which keeps her warm and toasty when I am at work during the day and at night time.
I thought that Zylkene might calm them down a bit so that they feel a bit more relaxed. I've tried everything and I'd love it if they got on.
Any thoughts?
K.x

Kaye, we've used zlykene capsules for the last cat we added into the mix. She was urine marking various places where one of the other cats was & generally being a pest to him. We seem to solved the urine marking ( hope that doesn't jinx things ) but she's still a pest. We stopped the zylkene several months ago with no ill effects. She can get stressed & that usually lands up with diarrhoea/sickness but so far so good. We are managing (just ) the interaction with her & the other 3 cats for the last 2 years with various remedies, including Kalm-Aid Zylkene Feliway diffusers Pet Remedy diffusers We now only use the 2 types of diffusers along with periods of segregation - overnight & meals time Lexie has her own room to give the other 3 peace. Lexie is the only one we've used Zylkene with but have used Kalm-Aid with her & 15 year old Penny, who had a spate of inappropriate wee'ing. Sadly not all cats will get on, hopefully you can get yours to at least tolerate each other.

Thanks Tonib, that's really helpful info. I've been using the Pet Remedy plug ins in my house for a while now. My cat Casper responds to it a lot better than Feliway which didn't seem to have any effect and its more expensive too! I may give it a try and see what happens. x

I use Zylkene for vixen who strange as it sounds is Bipolar. Seriously she has moodswings like anything. Zylkene really settles her. It's completely natural so has no nasty ingredients. My vet said it's very similar to us having cammomile tea.

I've used them for my dog before and they've worked really well! Sounds like they work for cats too!
