Have you entered the house on your own before, after shes been left ? Just a thought That's what I'll be trying for the first time next week, the owners have arranged to go to their daughters for a bit and I'll attempt to get in on my own. Then if all goes well I'll keep doing that once a week until the actual day in May

Sounds great work on your & the owners behalf alfiemummy. The owners have shown they are sensible in planning this in plenty of time

That's fantastic progress. Well done for the owner contacting you so far in advance and being willing to work with you on this, and well done for you for pulling it off so well and gaining the dogs trust! Even if you aren't able to actually bring the dog out for a walk, this is a huge achievement.

Success! Went round today and let myself in while the owners were out - she was fine! No barking or anything.
I tried to take her for a walk but she wouldn't go (we expected that) so just spent some time with her in the house. Going to do the same thing once each week until the day.
Very happy!

Just been to see her again this week - we went for a walk! Owner was very surprised, but pleased! (Her husband was a bit put out ) I changed tactic and took her a completely different direction as soon as we got out the back gate - usually I go out the garages via the road but I took the alleyway to the right instead. It helped that there was a cat in the alley that she wanted to chase

Oh dear alfiemummy, wonder why was the husband a bit put out? He obviously doesn't realise how lucky he is to have such a dedicated person looking after his dog, many would just say "not a chance!" and avoid the hassle.

Only because he's never been able to walk the dog himself! He was glad that I've been able to really, but he wants to be able to walk her too!
