Oh bummer...as soon as you said lifting his leg I thought cruciate Cage rest with a springer....is that even POSSIBLE? More like tranquillisers and a strait jacket in a crate!!!!! Fingers crossed the metacam does the job and a few days rest does the trick (((HUGS))) Hope a second opinion and possibly x-rays show the damage is not as bad as first thought

Sorry to hear about Beau's leg scallywag Hope the second opinion shows that it's not quite that bad. And if he needs it, I hope Beau will take a leaf out of Pepper's book and be as lazy as possible!

So very sorry to hear that it was bad news. Can your vet do the operation or do you have to be referred? Does seem to be a long wait for the x-ray and operation!

The vet specialises in this so will be done at their practice. He's on holiday next week

Argh, not what we hoped to hear S.W.very very sorry. On the positive side, the opp can be done at your own vets, so at least you won't be travelling miles for Beaus treatment. Friend had to travel to Leeds lots of times in some awful weather, even went there for dogs steroid injection.

So sorry to hear this scallywag But I'm sure Beau will be as good as new after his op. Oscar the JRT has had both of his cruciate ligaments done and can still chase a motorbike/bicycle the way he used to!
