Hello. My dog Bear is 13. She is a Shepard Lab mix. She has this mole or some kind of growth on her face. It recently has started bleeding. Our vet says she is not to worried about it and said considering her age and that her back legs are going due to arthritis and pinch disks in her back, that she wouldn't really want to due operation to remove it. Anyways just wondering if you have ever seen or delt with something like this before. Thank you very much.

Hi Rick, welcome to the forum, sorry can't be of much help here, is Bear maybe knocking it ( it looks to be on , near ? Her mouth ) causing it to bleed You have seen the vet and i'm sure if it had been something really bad to worry about, they would have said, like you said sadly she's in her golden years, best left alone. Look forward to chatting some more about Bear and seeing more photo's

Hi rick, No idea what it could be but my dog has a really tiny one on his lip in about the same place, it just looks like a skin tag at the minute. Yet to ask our vet as I've just been monitoring it. If you're not happy with what your vet has said then you could get a second opinion from a different vet? Even if it doesn't lead to removal it may give you some idea of what it is. 13 is a grand age for any dog, she definitely looks like she has a life of luxury

Well done for seeing the vet - any growth or lumps should be seen by a vet as soon as possible I personally have no idea what it could be, however going by charlotte's idea of a sin tag, my older Border T, Earl, has a TINY one of these on his inner leg. It doesn't bother him whatsoever, and we've had it looked at by a vet before whilst we were already booked in.
