I would be taking Carlotta to the vet if she was mine & with samples if you can get them. Going off food can well be down to heat as could drinking more but it doesn't sound that hot but the stiffness etc doesn't sound like heat. Hope she recovers well & we're all concerned over nothing.

Thanks tonib I hope so too! Well, she has eaten her tea but for some reason wouldn't jump up from the floor to get it so I had to lift her up. She didn't eat it all yet again but was fine to jump off the table afterwards so I'm not sure why she wouldn't jump up :S Hopefully she is a lot better tomorrow, if she doesn't yowl me awake though we are going straight to the vets.

Our Roman wasn't jumping up on to the worktop & he was diagnosed with the start of arthritis (can be seen in the x-rays) but he is 10ish. It does sound as though something is not right.

Hey there tonib hopefully it's not arthritis haha, she's certainly been behaving strangely though. scallywag no wake up call yet but it's a little early for her so I'll give it time. Not seen her this morning but my man said she was in the hall earlier investigating the mess that Rosa left after she knocked open the cat litter tray with Mieze in it (guess we'll have to buy a new one of those now...) so she is at least ever so slightly more active today. She's not been sleeping on the bed with me the last two nights either which is weird. The flat is pretty cool today with all the windows open and fan on, I really can't see it being heat but hopefully it is just the weather.

Very happy to say that at about half 8 this morning, Carlotta started miaowing at me to get fed. It wasn't with her usual aplomb, but she did it and I'm happy. She even jamp up onto the desk to get it. So today I am going to keep a close eye on her and hopefully she will perk up a bit.
I can't figure out what was wrong, but she had trouble with her Hyperesthesia for definite last night so perhaps it had to do with that, or perhaps the Hyperesthesia was the result of so much inactivity (exercise often reduces the likelihood of an attack). It could have been a one off thing to do with her having had diarrhoea. Anyway I'll keep s close eye on how she acts today and if she still seems stiff and slow like yesterday then we'll go into the vets later.
Thanks so much for the support! You guys really save me from going mad over my pets!

Thanks @gillykat
It seems funny, but all you other pet owners will know what it's like I'm sure, but everything she did yesterday just seemed so different and wrong, even the way she slept on my desk yesterday looked poorly, but today, after lots of little meals yesterday, she is sprawled out across my desk looking peaceful and happy in the sun.
I have possibly found out the cause of the problem anyway. I think she has a Kitekat addiction, haha. Sounds stupid, but my man had been feeding the cats a lot recently and the other day I bought what I thought they were eating, Sheba (we are buying Bozita today to get delivered), which they have had before and was mostly fine, less vomiting on Carlotta's part than other cat foods. Anyway i didn't even realise that the sachet I was feeding her bits from yesterday was actually a Kitekat one, and after having starved herself the night before and that morning, she ate a little but not much, and gradually ate more through the day. This morning I went to feed them Sheba and she sniffed it and marched off! Then when I got the Kitekat she scoffed it up.
My man bought the Kitekat while I was away in Scotland, and I had read before that some of these cheap cat foods can be addictive, urgh. Hopefully she will move pretty quickly onto the Bozita but if not I will blend the two meats until she's off the. Kitekat, she better not be addicted haha. I know that Felix or Whiskas are definitely meant to be addictive anyway.

I'm glad Carlotta is improving - it must have been so worrying for you.

Glad her she's back to normal, smilesbetter As to Felix & Whiskas addiction, I must admit that Roman only eats Felix in jelly (various version) but you can forget the gravy versions, he doesn't like any other complete food brands - although Mackeral Applaws tins are appreciated He only really eats the jelly but loves his dried - a mix of JWB & Royal Canin. Whereas Osiris hardly stays on anything for long, including whether its gravy or jelly, although we seem to be having success with PAH own brand Seriously Good in chicken so no addiction for him. We have to be careful with Lexie as she can have a sensitive stomach but having stopped eating JWB we tried Felix ASGAIT gravy & it works. Penny has a variety of moist food complete or complimentary (Sheba foils, Applaws Senior, Seriously Good Senior & PAH Ever so) as she has her meds in it & we need to ensure she takes them as she usually prefers her dried JWB Senior (anyone else's if she could get it!

Thanks guys! heartpawprints Carlotta randomly started eating raw (she started stealing my dogs raw food) and has been in great condition since. There were two days she was sick, and I realised that on both she had also eaten normal cat food. She LOVES the raw, wish my other cat did haha. I have quickly learned that when feeding raw to a cat one MUST cut the food into tiny pieces otherwise the cat will drag it everywhere resulting in streaks of blood, yuck. Other than that,it's going great and Carlotta seems so much happier. In fact she no longer wakes us up yowling for food, so I guess the energy is released slower or something and lasts longer.

Mine did something similar about the same time last year. Hers was more immediate and figured it out in two days when she left a leaf with other goodies on the carpet. I have to keep my floor vacuumed well as she is a habitual violator of midnight scrounging She actually looks a lot like Mieze (is she a bombay too?). So glad to hear Carlotta is doing better and it hope she continues to get back to alarm clock status I would probably get the teeth checked if you are super certain she hasn't eaten anything odd. Best of luck with everything and you have some lovely furry ones in your sig pic
