I heard one go off early this evening. I was indoors so it must have been quite loud outside! I know I've loved fireworks in the past but it was about the light shows not the bangs. I remember as a child roman candles, vesuviuses, catherine wheels (they went wheee a bit but not loud) & rockets (lit from glass milk/pop bottles) that showered out sparks with a small bang, sparkles & the odd fire cracker, all in the confines of our back garden with a bonfire, jacket potatoes & soup (usually Heinz tomato!) & sometimes neighbour's children - varied depending where we were living at the time. I understand that for commercial displays things need to be bigger & that may explain the louder bangs but for local home gardens the big bangs are not needed. The ooh - ahhs are really for the colour & lights not the noise. Oh crikey - i'm feeling a right misery guts after writing that & my age - policemen/women are definitely getting much younger!!

That brings back memories tonib. I also think that policemen/women are getting younger and I think 12 is way too young to join the police!!

I have only seen Tay once this month. If he comes for food it's usually after 12 midnight. I put food out every night and at the start of the month it was still there for a whole week, same as the other month, but then he turned up again. Last night Kobi had the runs and I had to let him out 4 times before 1.30am. I noticed that Tay's food had gone at 12.30.

We both had it and also gave Kobi some. I felt tummy pains all evening and also had the runs. Then hubby had same symptoms in the morning. So, we're all okay now and I've definitely gone off fish for a while.

So pleased, I looked out of the kitchen window at 9pm and Tay was sat on Toffee's veranda. I went out and sat on the step while he ate a pouch of food with 8 pieces of chicken (which I leave out for him every night). After that he ate some kibble and then I hand fed him more chicken. He is looking so well and is just getting his winter coat. It made my day to see him.

So glad he's still coming to visit, and that he's comfy enough with you not to run off when you go out, but stays and lets you hand feed him.

He might let me hand feed him but he won't let me smooth him! I wish he would stay over too scallywag, but no chance with Kobi about. I'll just be thankful for his visits.
