Hello! Sorry I've not been on here much recently, hopefully I'll get more time soon.
So I noticed Carlotta was sick this morning, but just bile. Then I noticed there was other bits of bile and vomit around the room (haven't had time for tidying either! That's my next task). I suspect it's from both cats.
Today when I nipped into the house to grab my keys, Carlotta didn't come down to greet me like usual but stated curled up on her pile of boxes and only looked up at me briefly. I thought maybe she was just tired. Mieze was curled up on the bed and also didn't move to greet me apart from a raised head. Since both cats did this I thought maybe they'd been rubbing around a lot while the dog, my man and I had been out and were tired.
Anyway when I got home from German class both cats were exactly the same. I picked Carlotta up and she just lay floppy in my arms and hardly hung on, she's not normally that good at being held so the alarm bells were going off. She seems to have absolutely no energy at all. Mieze doesn't always get up to greet me so I don't know if she's being normal or if she's ill too, but Carlotta definitely is. She ALWAYS comes to the door and is active for a bit when I come in.
They have been eating Whiskas recently (not my choice but apparently had highest meat content), and they haven't always finished. I'd thought it was coz it was more filling but perhaps not. I've sent my man out to get the good Sheba stuff that until recently had been fine for the cats so at least I can make sure they eat and aren't going hungry. Can't wait to get them onto raw, I feel like no matter what I'm feeding, I'm practically poisoning them. And the vets have no idea what's going on with Carlotta and her vomiting. I'm really scared I'll lose her! She seems to tired and almost depressed. Mieze is being odd too but not so noticeably as Carlotta. Is that the effect of Whiskas perhaps, could it be causing this? Or maybe it's just coz it seemingly makes them sick.
Possibly they've both eaten something they shouldn't, but they never get in the kitchen alone and I've never seen them eat anything they shouldn't.
Also Carlotta recently had a rotten tooth out and had sickness medication in her food until about 4 days ago and wasn't sick again till after that. Mieze has just vomited or had a hair ball under my bed...
I wish I knew how to help them both! Nothing seems to work. If anyone has any advice (even for things to look out for) it would be greatly appreciated. I hate seeing my girls so down!
