Hi, sorry I've not been around a bit. I'm so sorry to hear Ted didn't make it. It's awful but in the last 2 months I've known an unusual number of cats have this problem...all with the same outcome. Doing the dental was still the best thing you could do for him as he won't be in pain or discomfort anymore. It is just an awful situation but I commend you for providing very good, indeed the best, care for Ted. I hope you are coping ok. If there's anything I can help with or advise, please ask! I think the behavior of you cat to general anaesthetic is pretty common. In my opinion, you should follow a strict routine in terms of his oral health. You must read this Five Facts about Pet Dental Care, now you can take more care of your pet. I wish your cat would be done with this pain very quickly.
