Went for the echo & was informed that they had found a spare 24 hour ECG (electrocardiograph) machine so they would also fit that. I'd been told when they rang in the morning that I was also scheduled for this by the A&E but they didn't have a machine free. The echo technician was concerned about my heart rate but couldn't say any more about the echo as would need to do their various measurements & analyses, so when I was fitted with the 24 hour ECG they suggested that I returned about 1:30 tomorrow so that they could analyse the ECG results on the day rather than than wait until the 24 hours were up which would have been too late in the afternoon for them to analyse both & get the results to the doctors at the A&E hospital that day. The basic comment was that I might need one of meds altered. I've got to record when & what activity I do:- meals. take tablets, exercise including walking (shopping counts but not just around the house unless I get breathless or any other symptoms going upstairs or any other time), when I go to sleep etc. Oh & just to confuse me I got an email with another appointment for a 24 hour BP monitor fitting on 2nd February. This had got nothing to do with the hospital but was arranged by my GP!!! I remember she had referred to that at my appointment and also wanting me to book blood tests so was going to contact her to see if I still needed that as I'd had them at A&E. Oh well I'll see what happens in the interim with the hospital. I hope your echo goes OK lotsofcats on Monday.

I hope all is well with your results tonib. Do you get breathless or have palpitations?

breathless going upstairs etc. lotsofcats but my heart rate is irregular & fast according to the medics not that I noticed bar the odd time felt it raced. I presume with your asthma your going because of breathlessness as well,

Heard from the insurers my car is being written off. Still to work out the value etc. My courtesy car gets picked up tomorrow morning. However the insurers do have a discount with Enterprise & as there is a local branch (about a couple of miles away) that was probably who I would have used. I spoke to the insurers about 5:30pm & they have sent through a request for Enterprise to contact me to sort out what I might want etc. I can of course source another company for the hire car if that's better, until I find another car, which I will start seriously looking for now.
Had to get back on to the insurers as I then received an email from Enterprise implying they had a booking from the insurers for a hire car for me from 9 a.m. in the morning!!!! Advise is for me to ring Enterprise in the morning as that is not the case. It could just be Enterprise putting a marker in the system to contact me but better safe than sorry. As this car hire will be mine not the insurers.
The insurers have been really helpful I think I've managed to apply my jinx to this claim!

Dropped the 24hr ECG monitor off at the hospital 1:30pm. Thank goodness that was all sorted before I lost my courtesy car! Now waiting to see what happens when they analyse all that Also just got a text from the doctors surgery to say there is referral paperwork to pick-up. just rang them & confirmed its for the 24hr BP monitor - it is. I'm going to get confused as to who's dealing with what soon

At least you know where you stand with your car at last tonib. Now you've got the hassle of hunting for a new car - same model again?

Lets hope that they forgot to replace the bottle (although that shouldn't have happened) & not another has cracked lotsofcats. They didn't fit a new bottle, the repair man looked at it and thought it looked ok, even though I told him at the time of my bump the windscreen washing liquid was all over the floor, and I mentioned it twice in conversation with him!! A new bottle is being ordered. I am very annoyed.
