I rang gp today regarding my fingers although I didn’t get to speak with one 🙈it’s all done now on a app (ask my gp) I attached some photos of my fingers and stated that I thought that I may need some steroid cream for the sores .
The gp messaged me stating that they looked extremely sore 😟I stated that I have been trying for over 1 week to spk with Rheumatology and all I have had is someone leaving a voicemail saying that there isn’t any appointments.
Within 10 minutes I received a phone call from Rheumatology offering me an appt tomorrow at 3 pm.
I have had quite a stressful afternoon trying to find cover because I’m at work until 6 pm..
But thankfully one of my colleagues offered to swap shifts with me so that I can go to my appointment 😀so I will see what the consultant has to say tomorrow.

An absolute waste of time.
I was seen by a different consultant after waiting for over 1 hr.
He said that he did not think that the swelling and bruising was connected with the new medication infact he advised me to Increase it to twice a day .He said I could do with an infusion but unfortunately no beds and a long waiting list.
He seems to think that it is more of a skin issue so referring me to Dermatology. I don't agree because I get chilblains during the autumn/ winter but this is purple bruising under the skin and only got bad since starting g this medication. 😢I don't know how bad they have to get before they do something.
I suppose I have just to suffer through the winter 😢

chantel that must be sooo frustrating , can you ask for a second opinion ? The doctors you work at , can tgey pass comment ?
How are you doing as far as nutrients and vitamins ?

I’m going to look into a private consultation- I get £200 towards a private consultation/ scans/ tests that I pay through wage - I just need to find out what I need to do. I spoke with the secretary at work and she says I need to ask for a private referral from my dr once I have found out where I need to go. scallywag the medication is called sildenafil 25 mg I have been told to take 1 in a morning and 1 in an evening then after 2 weeks increase to 3 times a day. the consultant says that they have done clinical studies on women and it helps pump the blood quicker and they prescribe it for women that suffer with raynaud’s so I will just have to see. |
