I got nowhere π€¦ββοΈ off to take a look at the ticker factory Like your new one scallywag . They do look better as just one ticker & not short but that would mean all my posts would be big just with the signature never mind my tendency to long ones anyway! The links have more characters than the PitaPata ones so as there is a 500 character limit for the signature that has an impact on how many I could put in. Hence the change to tickers for the current cats & just words for those gone already, was still a tight fit & choice of words & spaces! The short links have 2 more characters in the link than the long version the sleeping cats is a good one but didn't look good when choosing the short version

tonib , I didn't realize that you brought Shady home before Stevie, I thought you picked them up at the same time.

tonib , I didn't realize that you brought Shady home before Stevie, I thought you picked them up at the same time. Whoops I did bring them home together must have put the wrong date on the ticker!! Thanks cazypopsP.S. just checked 19th Feb was the date I had in for Stevie which actually was the date Lexie joined us in 2012, Shady was right on 25th Feb. Now corrected.

tonib Short version ? I never spotted there were 2 lengths . I tried to put 2 on ( one for Tobi ) but i was then over my 500 scallywag , It's not the length of the ticker that takes you over the 500 but the size of the url. The one on tickerfactory's BBCode box is:- [url=https://www.tickerfactory.com] [[img]https://www.tickerfactory.com/ezt/d/4;10757;467/st/20230219/e/Stevie+joined+us+abt+2y/dt/5/k/d449/s-event.png[/img][/url] However if when you only copy the img part then it reduces the number of characters & still works :- [img]https://www.tickerfactory.com/ezt/d/4;10757;467/st/20230219/e/Stevie+joined+us+abt+2y/dt/5/k/d449/s-event.png[/img]
The short version is done by ticking the short box on the last page of the ticker factory creation. That is now I got the shorter size to be able to put 3 side by side on 1 line. However this the the only part of the link that can be edited & still work, so putting an "s-" in front of event.png in the url in your signature gives you the short version or removing it the long. (you'll se the "s-" in the examples above. 2 side by side works with the long or short version as shown by using your Xmas one twice!!! Correction long worked in preview but not in the actual post as you can see, Odd!!! The downsides of tickerfactory are the fact you can't got back into the website & edit your ticker (or at least I can't find a way of doing it) but its so easy to create another anyway. Also the length of the url as provided is quite long as it contains all the variable info. I did try just changing the date for Stevie's in the url in my signature to correct the error cazypops highlighted but that made it invalid, so I had to do it in tickerfactory via a new ticker. But at least choosing long or short ticker lengths is editable wherever the ticker is placed so if you forget to tick the short box before getting the url then its easy to correct in situ. Another downside is the choice of background (no rainbow for example) & choice of pet related sliders that's why Shady has chickens - reminder of his pigeon catching & a ginger butterfly. Lexie's choice of butterfly was suggested by her regularly sitting outside the conservatory trying to catch the butterflies that land on the white UPVC parts She does succeed on occasion & then brings them in to finish them off & eat them!!!! So the daisy's seemed a suitable background. For Stevie there was a black cat (which he can seem to be as the white is under his chin & tum, so bar the stripe on his nose he often looks a glossy black cat) & he's the one that wanders a bit further (though no much as Roman did) hence the countryside image

Went for my flu jab yesterday. First of all I couldn't park in the small carpark next to the surgery. The first and second floors of the carpark next door were full and the third floor was blocked off for repairs. I had to go above town and it was a 5/10 minutes walk away. Thank goodness it wasn't raining as I had no jacket or umbrella. I went back to work and felt quite ill 2 hours later and had to take some Paracetamol, and more in the evening.

Dont you just love it when you cant get parked. A few weeks back when I was having to go to the hospital every day for 10 11 days , parking was hit and miss, in the end I didnt bother looking for a space I just kept going up and up and up right to the 7th floor I knew I could get parked there up with the gods, AND more importantly my car never get dinged but inconsiderate parkers. How are you feeling now Jenny ? x No Jabs for me again this year or for the past 2 years.

I still felt a bit under the weather first thing chantel, after Kobi woke me up at 3am and I had to take some Paracetamol, then couldn't go back to sleep until 5.30am. I'm feeling fine now. Why aren't you having any jabs scallywag?

Someone I know had their flu & covid jabs at the beginning of last week. He had a really painful swollen arm for a couple of days. they did both in the same arm! When he saw the nurse later on he asked why, the comment was well one sore is better than 2!!!! True I suppose but ... Sorry you had a bad reaction lotsofcats, Glad to hear your better now. My flu jab is booked for this Saturday & when the GP's surgery contacted me to book it, a couple of months ago, they said if the covid jab was available by now then they'd do both in the same appointment. I hope I don't get a bad reaction as I'm visiting friends down south driving down mid week.
