My boss and his son have just gone to Wetherspoons for their breakfast. When they come back my boss always says "That was lovely" - yes, rub it in, why don't you!

I'm on a winning streak this week. I do the Postcode Lottery and won £10 on Monday. I also do the free Pick My Postcode Lottery and today I won the £20 bonus, which was up to £60 because it hasn't been claimed for 3 days, plus my bonus of £46.28, comes to £106.28. The bonus amounts from each time you click on to see who has won and you get 5p per day, so you can see how long I have been doing it. Hubby laughed at me and said it was a load of rubbish!! He'll still want his half as we share all winnings.

My foot was slowly getting better but my hip and knee are still painful because I'm still limping a bit. On Sunday I over-stretched my foot and thought 'ouch' and now it's a bit painful again. I have an appointment at the Fracture and Orthopaedic Clinic at the local hospital next week - I hope I haven't got to wear a boot!!

lotsofcats, do you remember me doing my ankle last July? I never went to the hospital so don't know the true damage I did, but every now and again it still gives me a bit of gyp. I hope you haven't done any more damage. At least you did the sensible thing a got it checked out. At the time I was too nervous to go.

I did it on the 17th July and it was still quite swollen and month later. I was able to walk on it if I was careful, but I can't remember just how long it was for the pain to go. It was, and I still get a bit of achiness in my ankle every so often. You've probably got a weakness there. I expect I will have a weakness in my foot too.

Hubby saved a young starling the other day. He heard a commotion coming from the bird feeders and there was a magpie and a young starling sqawking. The starling was stuck in the fat balls feeder and it looked like the magpie was trying to help him. Hubby had to cut the starling out of the feeder!

Intriguing that the magpie was helping the starling, I would have thought it would have attacked a weaker creature. Gald your hubby was able to help out lotsofcats.
