I'm in pain! I was on my way to have my haircut and I stepped up onto the kerb and somehow hurt my foot, across the bottom of my toes. It is very painful and I limped home from the hairdresser's. I've put ice on it and Volterol and elevated my foot and taken some Paracetamol.

When I stepped onto the kerb only my toes were on it and I must have pulled something. I Googled it and it sounds as if it's tendonitis. It is a bit better and I was able to get the cats in out of the pen. It still hurts but not half as much as it did, thank goodness.

I had to get hubby to drive me to work. It's my own fault, I felt it was getting better yesterday and suggested a short walk with the dog. My foot hurt all the way and I was back to square one. I have my foot elevated when I can as that helps.

I managed to drive to work today and my foot didn't hurt at all while I was driving. It is still painful when walking and it was painful first thing after I got out of bed. I didn't realise how lumpy and uneven my back garden lawn is - I am walking around it so slowly and carefully when I put the bird food out so I don't hurt my foot more.

Still in pain. I might go to the Minor Injuries Department over the weekend at the local hospital as my foot doesn't seem to be improving at all.

Just read on my local news website that every adult in Wales has now been offered a covid jab.

I went out for the Sunday papers yesterday and I can cross the road and cut down through a path at the back of some houses and it comes out on the next road down. It is a brilliant short cut and if I use the road it is 4 times longer. Anyhow, yesterday I got to the path and it has very long (waist length) grass either side and and where it had rained during the night it had flattered the grass across the path. I hesitated and as my injured foot is still painful I opted for the wet grass. My trousers were wet all the way up!!! Not my best idea.
If, when we take Kobi for a walk and come to this path on the way out or back, we have to look out for a white and tabby cat that lives in one of the houses nearby. He won't let anyone past with a dog and will attack!! We call him 'killer cat'. His owner has put a notice on her gate stating that her cat thinks he is a dog! We have to turn back and go the long way around even though it's only about 50 yards from my house.

My neighbour told me that as her daughter has just started a new job and she would be travelling all over the country, so her dog Tizzy would be staying for 6 months. Tizzy and Kobi hate each other. Tizzy managed to get under the fence previously and we have blocked it now, but you know how sneaky terriers are. I have to check that Tizzy isn't out in the garden next door up before Kobi is let out. I feel sorry for my neighbour's cat as Tizzy hates her too and would go for her. She always hides in the bedroom when Tizzy is about, so that's her refuge for the next 6 months. I think she can go out in the night as the dogs are shut in a downstairs room, but I do feel sorry for her.
