Well just had a teams meeting & my office isn’t opening until the 1st Sept 😮 & even then if I’m not completely comfortable returning to the office then I can continue working from home until I’m happy my boss isn’t rushing into anything, he’s also said if people want to return earlier they have to put in a business case but that will be from the 1st Aug only, I was expecting to be told everyone back next week 🤷🏻♀️ Much safer if you can work from home. I've been back in work since start of May and I'm the only one here that's constantly washing my hands and wiping surfaces down, and trying to avoid people getting too close.

I'm still furloughed, and will be until the end of July at the earliest, and I think we'll only go back part time until October.
OH has been working all through the lock down, and I can't tell you how stressful it's been. He's a delivery driver and he and three other of the drivers are driving all over the North West and into Yorkshire every day. He's doing the work of three men at the moment while the rest of the drivers are on furlough.
People forget about the normal man in the street still working. Every day he's putting his, mine and his work mates lives (skeleton staff) at risk in order to keep the company going.

Definitely good news feel so much more relaxed now think he’s made that decision because we have an office in Kazakhstan where they basically opened everything too early & have had a major spike so locking down for a minimum of 4 weeks all such a worry never thought it’ll last this long though 😔

I know how you feel my brothers a Area Manager for Iceland’s it’s such a worry I have no idea how he’s not caught it yet he’s had staff around him that’s gone down with it, these are the unsung heroes the shop workers, delivery drivers & posties keeping the country going don’t know where we’d be without them, just hope they all try to stay safe

I was talking to my team manager today and we both said we don't want to go back to the office. Not that we're in danger of that any time soon, we've been told by the big bosses that we're working from home until at least the end of the year. But we all foresee a change in how we work once we do start going back, because they've seen that it is possible for us to do our jobs in a home environment without productivity taking too much of a hit.
I was talking to a friend last weekend who works in the same place, but she's on one of the teams that are deemed essential for us to operate. She's going into the office on a rota because there are strict rules in place over how many can be in the office at any one time and they have to take into account all departments including the security guards, cleaners, canteen staff and workmen (office is being refurbished) so our "new normal" is for a good while yet.
All the delivery drivers are doing an amazing job. They've kept the economy going even on a small scale at their own risk and I, for one, am grateful. My brother is in retail, so he's worked all the way through lockdown, but he's been very insistent on sticking to the guidelines too which is good as it means the risk of him bringing it home is low.

Safer working from home for now. Delivery drivers have been amazing, they are so busy at the moment. I did laugh at the one I had the other day at home, in big letters on my parcel "If I am out please leave parcel around the back of the house by the back door". He left it by the front door! I hope your brother stays safe molly9, frightening for him when colleagues have contracted coronavirus.

When I dropped my daughter off for work this morning we saw 4 police cars with flashing lights parked on the pavement a couple of doors down from her place. I wonder what's going on? We were guessing it's to do with drugs as there's an empty building there.
