Well I had wrote a long & detailed thread but something happened & it messed up on my mobile so I'm starting again.
Long story cut short was waiting for once we were settled in new house to get tank up & running again which I think the time will be soon. I have a 48litre tank, W39cm x D33cm x H43cm. Prob I'm finding is I can't make up my mind what I want to keep in the tank. I've considered and researched African Dwarf Frogs...Terrapins musk/stink pots...I've also thought about gold fish, shrimp or tetras. I just cant decide. I was hoping this is where you could all come in with suggestions and advice...also input on the ones Ive considered.
I look forward to hearing from you all soon

Different kinds of suitable sized fish would be great, you can't beat fish in a tank

Tanks not big enough for goldfish I'm afraid, you need at least 3ft for a fancy goldfish, fantails you're looking at 4ft+. Tropicals like tetras would be good. Have you thought about a Siamese Fighter? They are gorgeous, and that's a fine sized tank for one. I had that size for mine, and I had a snail living with him. You could have some guppies with a SF and snails in that size of tank quite happily.

SarahHound I had actually originally bought this tank with the intention of keeping a SF in it but for one reason or another it didn't happen. It may be an ideq to go back to that idea again its just finding the right place to get them from.

Do you have a Dobbies near you? Anytime I've been in there their fish are always very healthy looking. Pets at Home sells them but their fish care and knowledge varies greatly from store to store. There's always dead ones in mynearest one :/

Yeh there is one about a half hour drive from here. I do agree that their knowledge depends on which store you go to. I went to one once and asked something about treatment for the water and I swear I felt like I had maybe walked into a Pound shop or something & asked the question lol.
