Thank you will keep you posted Yes I clicker train around the Hoover, I had actually got her to the point where she would walk past the Hoover without freaking out and for whatever reason she's had a setback.

Setbacks and mistakes are part of learning, don't let them dishearten you. Carry on training, you've made progress, so keep helping your dog to live a normal life.

Yes Zoeelouisee, the amount of times I have made mistakes but have kept going and got a result. But I have learnt from them and rarely (if at all) make the same mistakes again. It will obviously take time, but you won't progress if you give up now, so my advice, is don't.

If I am honest it may actually relate with me, she is very much in tune with me and I do suffer with Anxiety myself and recently had a week where my anxiety was worse so maybe that has rubbed off onto her? She has been a lot better the last couple of days, I have actually been trying to desensitise her to the actual word hoover so while we are playing or I am giving her cuddles I will say loads of words like ah good girl silly girl aren't you beautiful etc etc and then throw in hoover and then quickly say who is a good girlie and start the cycle again! So Far So Good!! The tablets and drops are on the way also! So it will be interesting to see what she is like with them too!
Oh I won't give up, I never give up! I had an accident 9 years ago leaving me supposedly paralysed from the waist down and I have to use a wheelchair and was told I would never walk again. I still use the chair but I can now walk and do intense physio to keep up with it! I won't be giving up on my gorgeous girl anytime soon. Breaks my heart seeing her so frightened of something that won't hurt her!

The Tablets and Drops arrived and I have so far only used the drops to see if they worked for when we walked her as she has actually been reasonably okay when speaking about the hoover this week when its in the room on the other hand she still runs off in blind panic. But yes we used the drops for walking and although she was still slightly reactive it was no where near as bad as it has been in the past (although I almost got dragged off my scooter today when she decided a Shi tzu off the lead coming towards her and me was far to much to deal with and she attempted to get it! but even that was calmer than usual!) So I am going to put her onto the tablets as of tomorrow, find a walking buddy and stick to walking her EVERY DAY. And I am going to continue training around the hoover, Fingers crossed it all works.

Good luck zoeelouisee! It sounds like she's made a promising start at least. Maybe start off with the higher dose of the tablets to get it into her system quicker, then you can drop it down to the 1 tablet per 5kg of bodyweight.
