I just come across this forum and thought i would pop by and introduce myself  I have owned german shepherds for over 20 years and been around them all my life my boy rio I also have my late mums fur babe Tia a shih tzu who is 16yrs old on November the 11th  |

Welcome to the forum. What a lovely photo of your dog Rio. I love German Shepherds - my first dog when I got married was a German Shepherd called Sacha. I would love another one. I have 2 dogs and 7 cats. My dogs are a Patterdale Terrier called Kobi and an old terrier who is 15 years old. Is Tia in good health for a nearly 16 year old? My Aztec is blind and quite deaf too.

Yes thats the tinker yes I am a professional photographer down in devon I am also a qualified dog trainer/behaviourist, I am having a break from training dogs for a while due to other commitments both are my passion though |

Tiais so sweet (all the photos are lovely) - my Aztec loves his food too - even though he's blind I was still taking him out walking until he had a 'doggy stroke' - he recovered quite well from it but is getting too frail for walks now. I prefer the long coated German Shepherds. |

Welcome to the forum Rio is stunning! I love German Shepherds but couldn't deal with all the hair! Tia is absolutely gorgeous too! Is the photo recent? If so she looks very good for her age! I'm Charlotte, I'm from Durham and currently only have one dog, a 7 year old Mini Poodle called Jasper. I'm currently in my 2nd year at Uni doing Canine Behaviour and Training and am working with a trainer on Sundays to get my experience up - I love it! I'm also training as a dog groomer which I enjoy, but the training is my passion Look forward to 'seeing' you around |

Hiya everyone thank you for the very warm welcome you all have wonderful looking dogs @ lotsofcats if you have any questions about training ask away I love to give out advice and 15 is a wonderful age I love the oldies @ charlotte thank you he is a page 3 boy in the german shepherd show world they all love him well done on your study so far although its mind boggling at times your succeed at what you love experience will give you the know how and knowledge on how to handle dogs successfully I have dealt with so many cases over the years nothing shocks me anymore my aim is always to have a happy dog with a owner that has gained knowledge from all the training techniques and methods I have shown them to be working with .. I have trained 100s of beautiful dogs rescues too and as long as they stay with the owner then I am happy hate seeing them in rescues good luck |

I'm not surprised, the little (or not so little) stunner! And it definitely is! Hard work but so worth it. It's early days at the training classes but I'm loving it. It's lovely to see owners being silly with their dogs too, it shows they're really into it I'm looking at doing an APDT instructors course when I've saved up, if you have any experience of those it would be great to hear about them Ah that sounds so good! As long as they stay together that's all that matters Thankyou too, I'll definitely be sticking in! |
