Just curious, as you're a slightly different bunch but you must all talk about your cats as we talk about our dogs. Sometimes, now and then, not that often... we meet up and walk dogs together, what do you guys do if you want to meet up? If and when we meet, there's still a big emphasis on dogs, and we'd probably spend more time talking to the other person's dog than them hehe

Well I'm a cat and dog owner. Mostly I like to talk about dogs, but all three of my cats like to go for walks, so I'm the crazy one that dedicates 15 minutes of my day to take the cats for a wander

Hehe, that sounds like fun! Depends on the area you live in though I guess? You don't want dogs chasing them... :s

Well we're surrounded by fields, so we have a walk round a field and they smell and bounce about and hunt for mousies

Look forward to seeing the video Sarah. Hi PFT - I think its a bit different for cat owners. Some of the forum members have become (or already were) friends & obviously visit each other.. I know some have got together for day-trips (one from Cheshire & surrounds to Scotland) to visit others members. When I got a new cat I had 2 local(ish) members visit. However these visits usuually don't involve taking cats as it's more difficult to transport them - for safety a cat carrier is needed. Another place members get together is cat shows - sometimes local ones & also the Supreme (almost the equivalent of Crufts). However the topics are usually cats at these meeting A lot of the chat about our cats is on this forum (or others) & hence quite a few photos are posted & chat topics are made - probably explains the number of threads Some members also walk their cats on leads - it can make it safe for a cat to go out in areas where being left to roam around isn't (main roads etc.) Sometimes if I go for a walk from the house when the cats are out I'm followed by up to 3 cats!! If they do follow I'm rather careful about where I go & keep an eye on them & traffic (not we have much). Luckily they are wary as soon as they hear a vehicle.
