Glad you got your book mentioned in Your Cat - just got the magazine but not read yet so hadn't seen it yet.

I'm pleased to report that Ruppee seems to be slimmer so the new food seems to be working.

Oh that is good news heartpawprints. It definitely worked for Penny, she was only on it for a maintenance diet but she managed to lose another 0.2 kg which was good & certainly boosted her energy as well. She's not the biggest fan - think the kibble size is a bit too big for her so we're giving JWB Senior a chance. If she gains weight then we'll go back to the metabolic.

Yes, I just wish they did that for humans.

my munchkin has to go on a diet as she weighs 6.5kgs, she is a big cat anyway she's long and has long legs, the vet says she's needs to be under 6 so we changed her food to a weight control dry food and a liitle chicken which the vet dsays is fine, our problem is getting her to move more lol

munchkins, I must admit Penny moved more as she lost her weight. To help her move we also gave her some of the normal kibble that she liked (about 8 pieces) as a daily treat but put 1 piece on each of the levels of the climber & then along the window sill & on to the climber on the other side of the bay window. She had a bit of exercise for her food/treat There are also treat balls that you can but kibble in which might help her move & make eating a fun game as well. Oh & nice to see you here again, its been a while

Thanks tonib, funnily enough this last week she has been a bit more active, the feature in this months mag had some good advise, we've now got her to run up and down her climber, as it is very high we throw her fave toy ( a skanky mouse ) up the top she'll fly after it, we've weighed out her food for a 5kg cat as the vet says we've to feed her the weight we want her too be which is just under 6kg she also has her chicken, it looks like a lot of food but I think its working.

Glad to hear its working munchkins. We gave Penny her last bits of her daily kibble on the steps (6) of the climber, across the windowsill on to the fat climber. We called it her assault course It certainly helped with exercise
