Oh Christine is it really a year since all that heart-ache with both Alfie & Charlie. It really doesn't seem it. That is an absolutely smashing picture of Charlie.
I can quite understand the way you feel, let the good memories of Charlie & the tangible love that Sausage, Alfie, Wilf, Poppy & your family can give, comfort you today & always.
Charlie will be look after you & enjoying himself playing & causing trouble at Rainbow Bridge with all his friends, new & old, that have gone before.
Take care.
RIP Charlie

For Charlie and all our precious fur babies
I know you're there when I am blue and you always will be too Your gentle purr rings in my ears a sound I walways will hold so dear I cried the day we said goodbye, I held your paw so tight I say good morning everyday and cry again each night Even though you are far from me, you'll always be so near For the memories of your loving face I will forever hold so dear So smile down on me from the bridge so bright and wave a paw my way Because we both know that we'll meet again over that bridge so far away

In memory of Charlie
A year has passed since that awful day When the Angels came and took you away
The memories we made are etched on my heart Keeping you alive now we're apart
Oh how I miss your presence so dear What I would give just to have you back here
But all God's creatures are only on loan Till the time comes when he decides to call you home
So till the time comes when I am called too Just remember me Charlie and how much I loved you

Charlie was a baby, 11 days short of his first birthday. His brother Alfie was at Fitzpatrick's referrals being treated for a broken leg, but Charlie didn't know that. He went out to look for him and was killed by a car. He used to sleep in my hair. Thats what I miss the most. His warm little body stretched down my back, his head on mine, and his paws making his bed by kneading and sucking my hair.

Its those little memories that make them so special.
I remember when you posted on the old forum about Charlie going looking for Alfie and what happened and how it affected you and I can remember how I felt when I read it, the tears are still rolling down my face now at the memory. I can imagine what you are feeling today (in particular) so am thinking of you all.

Christine, a sad time for you reliving what happened to Charlie - I can't believe it's a year, bless him. I kept looking at his photo on the July page of the calendar and thinking it was so unfair that he was taken so young. A lovely photo of him - he will never be forgotten.
RIP Charlie xx

Oh Christine, I too could not believe it has been a year. Time passes so quickly. I remember it so clearly thinking how unfair life can be dealing out such heartache for you with Alfie and Charlie. Thinking of you. Such a beautiful photo of Charlie xx
