It depends on how hungry they are!!! My oldest is more likely to greet me but she is a heavy sleeper so if she is asleep then no. But I do get a nice welcome first thing in the morning and thats got nothing to do with food.

when we meet in the morning if he has spent the night on top of his scratching post he will smell my head who knows why then jumps down for a little head rub and off he goes to check if the house is as we left it the last night Oh bless him

Yes mine all come to greet me more often than not they get very excited especially Barley he always wants cuddles. Then not long after we come in they'll go to the litter tray- I think from all the exitement!
