Hello, I just thought i'd introduce everyone to my pet Cockatiel Louis, I was trying to get him down from the curtain rail and he decided to hop onto my head. He is only about 9 months old so we are in the process of getting him used to us, he has made huge steps recently and will now sit happily on our hands. His cage is always open to come and go as he pleases.

He is very pretty! . Welcome to the forum! I'm Jessica. I own a 7 year old Westie called Charlie Boy, a 7 year old Cocker Spaniel called Roman, 2 moggy (non-pedigree) cats called Kitty-Aslan and Snarfy, 4 ferrets called Lucy, Oxo, Polo and Snowy and 10 horses called Ziggy, Jasper, Rosie, Tango, Henry, Echo, Marney, Maddie, Dali, and Casper! Somewhere around the forum I think there is a thread (I can't remember which one) but has a few photos of birds on and things! You will find it somewhere, also there is a pet photo competition at the top of the page you will find it! - Good luck!

Thanks everyone, nice to meet you all too, I had him sitting on my shoulder for the first time last night. He's getting so much tamer. I also have a house bunny called Tilly, a little Caviler King Charles Spaniel Puppy named Harriet and a tropical fish tank.

Oh he's lovely! Keep up with the handling- it will pay off! My little man sadly passed away almost 2 years ago at the age of 20 and a half. I miss him so much. My parents got him when I was very young and then they never handled him so he was always a grumpy bum! He did love a head scratch though and became quite tame when I became old enough to look after him. He would have given his right wing for a quaver or a cheese wotsit! Never give them salted crisps though- they cannot process the salt. Spike used to wolf whistle and dance along to some music. Great little birds and chheky as owt!
