Was really misty on my drive to work and come 10am the sky opened and what a thunderstorm we had thunder lightning and the heaviest rain that reminded me of monsoon season in Malaysia! One of the guys in the office hid in the cupboard!Hahahaha!! Oh dear! Don't ever let him live it down! I even took a photo. Couldn't get one when his face was at its best but got this one

I knew that we had a good bit of rain as the ground was wet when I got up this morning. I got into work and remarked to my boss that we hadn't had a thunderstorm yet - "What do you mean, we didn't have a thunderstorm?" he exclaimed - I only slept through a massive thunderstorm! - I am gutted as I love watching it. I hope that poor Toffee wasn't too frightened out in the cat pen - I expect he was hiding in the corner of the cat shed. Come to think of it he was miaowing when I got up!

We've had it roasting but that all stopped on Monday. (Which Amber was delighted about!) Today we've had rain, and quite a lot of it too, it seems weird to have the weather raining because we haven't had any for ages!!! At least that means there's no more drought.

Well we woke up to rain, but neither of us remember any thunderstorm, maybe we slept through like lotsofcats! It stopped by 9 but has been overcast , warm & muggy since but definitely cooler.
One benefit of the weather was we've had Roman & Osiris indoors all day on our bed. In fact Penny has not long moved up of her basket to join them. Lexie has also been more indoors than recently.
As I type though Osiris has just come down - I heard the hiss as he passed Lexie!

Thunder, lightning and rain in the early hours of this morning. It woke me up and my first thought was 'pets'. I went straight downstairs and found Jess standing there, she was jumping out of her skin, bless her I checked on Frankie and he was fine, he was happily eating I took Jess into the garden because my mum and dad wouldn't let me bring her upstairs until her bladder was empty She refused to go until I came into the garden with her; so I found myself in the pouring rain with thunder and lightning at (I guess) 3 in the morning. Then Jess slept on my mum and dad's bed as she was very scared... ended up waking up at 12 in the afternoon today as I was so tired and the thunder stopped me from sleeping.

We had a massive thunderstorm this morning. My drive to work was dry and fine, just a bit misty. I got to work by 7.15 ish. By 7.35am, the rain was bucketing down and there were huge rumbles of thunder. It was unreal. The rain went on for a while and the lights flickered but it wasn't too bad. When I left work at 3.30 the sun was shining again, everything was dry and the car was boiling again!

No thunderstorm here. Very dull till late afternoon and we got a little rain too late morning and it started again to night but that's it, no thunder or lighting. Still very hot and muggy here, it's quite nice having to have ice pack on my poor back. Keeping me cool before I try to sleep.

Poor Jess Luckily for us, Earl is very hardy, and only raises his head when thunder rumbles. Usually, just in case, I cover Earl's crate with a light weight blanket so only the bottom is slightly un-covered, and this usually blocks out the lightning as good as it can, and also provides Earl with a safe haven so he feels safer if he did ever get spooked about storms. You could try this with Jess if she has a crate? Or if you have a crate at all you could try popping her in and doing this?
