It has absolutely poured down all day today. In work, out the back of the workshop, we leaved food every day for a stray cat. There's an old cat carrier and we leave the food in there. Today, it's like a stream running down there, poor cat will get washed away!

No frost today just a wash out kind of day. I went to do a little more Christmas shopping 🛍️ but decided to take the car 🚗 I didn’t feel like standing around in the cold waiting for a tram 🥶when I got out of the car i had about a 10 minute walk from the car and then the pouring rain ☔️ started and it’s still pouring it down now.
I feel a bit bad because I have only taken the dogs for 1 walk so far this week 🙈what with the snow ❄️,frost it was freezing cold and now it’s a wash out 🙈it’s been far too cold for me to go out walking 🥶🥶having said that neither of them are really bothered.

Snow! Probably won’t stick around very long. I heard we most likely will not have snow for Christmas this year.

What's a rain free day? Not been as bad as the last 3!! We've had various combinations of rain, heavy rain, showers, strong winds. Last week was the recycling bin collection days so the garden waste wheelie bin was emptied Thursday morning & the plastic/glass/metal & the cardboard/paper wheelie bins were emptied Friday afternoon. After the winds & rains had eased (not stopped!) I went out, in the dark & found the garden waste bin blown over, a lid off a compost bin blown off & the wheelie bin lid of the general waste blown open. There was only one thing in that bin a bag of used cat litter from when I had changed the wood pellet & Breeder's Celect paper based litter in 2 trays. Typical the I'd put the litter in an empty Breeder's Celect bag & carefully sealed it, usually no problem, but those bags are only very strong thick paper. I put everything back to normal position including, with the aid of a torch, the compost bin lid which hadn't gone far. but left emptying the rain out the wheelie bin. When I did that yesterday the bag of used litter slid out with the rain water! I was expecting it to be possibly damaged but luckily it was very damp but still intact so bagged it again in a plastic bag just in case it deteriorated by next Friday when the bin is emptied, either from the existing dampness or the lid blowing open again. I got away with it, thank goodness. But in future if re-using the clean litter bags for dirty litter & they are paper based I might store them somewhere guaranteed to be dry until collection day if there any strong winds forecast!! I've now emptied the 2 LitterLockers containing the soiled litter (solids from the wood/paper based litter tray, faeces only, & the clumps from large litter tray containing clumping clay litter, so both urine & faeces). This time that is all in the original plastic LitterLocker liners & then in a reused clay litter bag which is plastic! Stevie & Shady still go out in the rain although Shady doesn't go far or for long but Stevie does come & tell me when he comes back & is often wet but not a fan of a towel! His normal route back is usually across the fences , flower beds & lawn, the latter is a slightly muddy where it joins the patio so there are a few muddy pawprints around!!! Despite walking over door mats, hard floors in the utility & kitchen, carpets in the hall & lounge there are still dirty paw-prints on white lounge window sills

Toffee is like Shady and Stevie tonib, he likes to go out in the rain. He doesn't like the wind though. He has 3 outside waterproof shelters he can go in but more often than not he will just sit there looking for rats. Glad you got your bags of used cat litter all sorted out without a spillage.

Well a very wet and blustery day today, far too dangerous for a dog walk. Most of the neighbours bins were on their sides, cans and plastic bottles rolling and clanging down the road. It’s still very very windy and it’s not stopped raining all day , the storm has definitely arrived with snow forecast, hopefully it won’t come to much.
