That's hot! How dare the vets overcharge you! You can buy something nice for yourself for Β£17.

Was sunny today with a short shower around 1 pm, temp 23/24 but cooled to 20/21 with the shower. The afternoon gradually became more overcast but no more rain. The lightening started around 10:45 pm but no thunder, looked like it was more to the west (the coast) rather than really close but still very bright. However the rain has now started 12:25 am. quite heavy to.
Update 00:50 - just as posted the above & as I typed my next post we had some thunder - I should be more careful of what I comment !

scallywag I thought that all vets had to give repeat prescriptions if asked so I did a bit of Googling. I w as partly right , they have to give a prescription but the repeat bit depends on the type of drug. See myths 4 & 5 on this webpage vethelpdirect.com/vetblog/2019/01/11/animal-medicines-law/I wonder what category Beau's meds are.

Toni when Tobi was on repeats each prescription was good for 3 months , my vet would only do monthly , then when you factor in the delivery charge I was not saving a great deal and for the peace of mind that I would not have to rely on the post its worth buying from vet.

I guess I was lucky to be able to return the unwanted extra supply , they did mention I couldnt get a refund on my credit card , as they are not allowed to take meds back , now I know why. They are making a payment direct into my bank account. Guess I got lucky I spotted this within the hour of leaving the buiding

I'm lucky scallywag as I can normally order enough of the Roman & Osiris's Metacam in one go, especially as I can split the order between the 2 prescriptions, to get free delivery. The companies I've used (reputable) allow you to call off more than one month at a time. Also I can get some non-prescription items if necessary, such as flea or worm treatments & Osiris's phosphorous binder powder. When Penny was on Metacam I used www.animeddirect.co.uk/ but I'm currently using petdrugsonline.co.uk (trying to get the link to work - just won't from this post but does when typed into a browser window directly - trying to sort it out

It certainly rained last night, very heavy along with thunder & lightening until well after 3 a.m. & there was some localised flooding not too far away. Today was definitely warm & dry but not sure what temperature it really was as the only temperature gauge I've got is the one in the car & I haven't been out. More thunderstorms & rain expected

The silent lightening has started its to the south of us so I'll have to see if comes closer & I can hear any thunder or rain.

I'm jealous, we've only had hot weather and it's very humid. West Wales had flooding and thunderstorms, North Wales had thunderstorms, but it missed me in South Wales - I want some. I was out in the garden last night looking for the meteor showers and saw some and a lot of white flashes - hubby said it was lightening but I think it was the meteors.

Had a shocking night with the pooches π©it was so warm and then we got the thunderstorms- so had to close all the windows - Elsa wasnβt too phased by the storm but seemed to be more stressed π« because Riley was panting so much ,Elsa then started panting - I put some iced water down for them both.
.The problem is they wonβt sleep downstairs We have tried it in the past - Hubby semi- slept with his hand on Riley most of the night and madam just kept coming to tell me she was warmπ© I donβt think we got 1 hour sleep and when things seemed to calm down Freddy came to the bedroom door scratching and screaming π
I think I might spray Riley and Elsa tonight with some cool water and I will just have to deal with the grooming later.
I think we have rain and more thunderstorms later Grrrr - glad hubby is working from home πwish I was lol π
