Oh I like being nosey too. I did run a Pre-School for 2 to 5 year olds but after a back injury I now help hubby with his own business. We both work from home and I help with rebooking orders and I also do his accounts!!

I'm an engineer of the domestic kind. I escaped a 19 year long stretch at the office a few years ago. In that previous life I was a client account manager in the financial world. Very corporate! Handing the blackberry and laptop back was extremely liberating!!! I haven't missed the stupid o'clock morning trains to London either

I currently work at a residential home as a housekeeper, though hopefully this time next year, I will be able to go full time doing garden maintenance. I was a dog walker for abit, though I had to finish it because of car problems. bectil

petitsfilous - Yeah I enjoyed working with children. After college I worked in a day nursery and was leader of first the 1-2 year olds, then the 2-3 year olds. And was in baby room (3months - 1 year) before moving on to my dream job in a school. There I worked in the nursery with the 3-4 year olds. Never a dull moment. When hubby and I moved to Suffolk I got the job of Preschool supervisor and enjoyed running it with 4 staff members. If and when I have any money I would love to start up a doggy day care place. Julie - Lucky you. Although I guess I have it quite easy working for hubby now. I can enjoy a small lay in with Cooper in the morning and the office is only two rooms away from the kitchen.

FairPlay to anyone working with children, I imagine my head would burst if I did that! Gladys, must be good to work from home, no traffic jam frustrations to battle with, bonus! And you can wear your slippers

I work as an assessor for the student loans company. It's not what I thought I'd be doing when I was at school though! My work experience involved a boarding kennels and a vet's surgery - how I ended up in an office, I don't know! Actually that's a lie - it's because I didn't do any animal related courses when I left school. I'm trying to put that right now by doing a pet health care course as well as a canine psychology course.

Julie - I must admit It has been known that I have carried out work in my P'js!!! But the down side is the kitchen is very close and chocolate is such a temptation. Working with children is fun, never dull and very noisey. But I loved it.

Have considered that for when I'm done. I absolutely love it! P@H has been voted Sunday Times Best Big Company to work for this year too! We all got 40% discount off this weekend to thank us. (Normally get 20% colleague discount). There is a lot of training involved which is a plus for me as I love to learn. There is so much potential too. You can take many different paths in your learning and training helping you to work your way up in the company

Ooh, sounds great! I think most people just think of it as working behind a till all day, but you can tell that there's loads of different aspects to it nice to hear that you enjoy it so much, and that staff discount could come in very handy... ¬_¬

I'm too busy selling fish, cleaning tanks, feeding animals, working the warehouse and just generally helping customers.

Sounds great! I'm one of those people who gets bored really easily when repeating the same thing day in day out, but it sounds like you switch around with what you get up to a lot
