I found a few of these on myself and Rio after we went for a walk on a beach and I have no idea what they are. I think I got them off him because e was sat in my lap after. Are they just something he picked up off the beach?

I expect that Rio has simply picked it up on the beach. I wouldn't say it was anything serious.

Sorry pictures a bit small for me! First reaction was maggot or leatherjacket Then I noticed you said beach so that idea went out the window.
Sorry to ask is it something alive or is it plant matter?

No, there wasn't anyone nearby except for 2 other dog walkers. Plus mealworms larvae have 6 legs very close to the head. I should be able to identify this I did entomology at uni!

No we went down to coverack. Swanpool doesn't allow dogs on after Easter which is annoying as it's only a 3 minute walk away.
