Thanks BorderTerrier, I've never been so happy to win dog toothpaste. It could be of benefit to you... Do you brush Eddy's teeth?

Several years ago we were lucky enough to be given the opportunity for two sessions of one to one training with the dog trainer Charlie Clarricotes who used to work with Your Dog. He came to the house with a reporter and photographer, asked all about the dog etc before working with her. He gave me ideas on how to tackle the problem ( poor recall), made suggestions on how to improve things and gave me some training exercises to work on with her. We followed his advice and when he came back a few weeks later we all went out to a local country park. Again he worked with her ( and me!) and when we finally let her run free the difference was amazing. He was a really nice chap and very understanding. She's heading towards twelve now ( the white dog in the photo) and still has a VERY good recall - well usually The magazine then contacted us a couple of months later and printed another update.

And further to my post about being featured in "Your Dog" - I've just received this month's copy and they are still using photos taken all that time ago as one appears in the magazine.

And today, I discovered that I feature in this month's issue of YD! A small section in the 'Dog Answers' section thanking the kindly expert who solved my dog's problem in a later issue (Earl won't settle in the car).

I always look through the photos first as there are quite often ones from a LONGGGGGGG time ago. Will look out for your piece when I get round to reading the magazine properly.
