It's just so odd because he always looks for food but when you offer him, he never eats it Julie! And yeah that's something we'd have to keep an eye on... I think technically he's a bit over ideal (vets have said he's fine but I'm convinced he's getting podgey lol) but short of starving him there's not much else I can do. We've cut training down to one short session on a morning so it's not like treats are filling him up. Teegiebear, never heard that one before. That's interesting, but I bet it was bloody annoying at the time! I don't think I've ever heard of. Labrador not eating. Before jasper we had buddy who used to inhale anything so it was like a culture shock! Also, Jaspers 7 next month but he's been the same since we got him at 5 year old -.- ?

I know! Like he'll stand in the kitchen door then come and look at you, then go to the cupboard. He'll then wag his tail when you get the food out.
So I prep it all and he just looks at it like I've offended him -.-

I envy people whose dogs wolf down their food,my collies have always been a bit picky, yet relished a mouthful of horse poo!My Flat Coated Retriever was the only one not to be picky.Aah,but she was greedy,a whole cooked chicken left cooling at the back of the work top, sausages still in the plastic bag,and a whole block of butter...she didn't even get the runs after each feast!

Sounds like your Flattie had a few nice banquets lol! She obviously had a steel stomach lol!
Teegiebear, I'm the same! Tried a shallow bowl in case his was too deep, tried a 'human' bowl and then a plate as well and it made no difference. I'm hoping home feeding will sort him out!

If you don't mind spending a tenner or so, Lily's Kitchen do a decent cookbook with some good recipes in. I've got it. I haven't made much out of it, but what we have made has gone down well.

Caz, I envy you! If only it was a case of growing out of it. But at 7, it's probably just going to get worse And I certainly will BT, I'll have a word with the vet before I start so that'll be sometime later this month. And oh I'll have a look at that Orpheus! I didn't notice it on the website when last ordered (or I lroy would have bought it lol!) And sarah, that would be brilliant! Thanks all
